Rather than focus on what Santorum is doing today and the problems facing our country Drudge has found a 4 year old speech and is distorting and sensationalizing it to make Santorum look bad.
This is part of the MSM/Democrat attack machine narrative to try to show Santorum is outside the mainstream and only cares about social issues.
That being said, I applaud Santorum for recognizing the immorality that is infiltrating our government and our society and for having the courage to speak about it.

Catholics believe in Satan. The largest minority in the country is Hispanic and they are all catholic. Satan in their faith is responsible for evils in the world.
So? The evils exist. We don’t really know what causes people to do wrong or be evil. It doesn’t matter. The Christians call it Satan. The Jews call it the Yetzer Hara (our urge to do what is wrong — which we must suppress and follow our urge to to what is right).
It is not worse to believe it’s a powerful external evil or a powerful, internal evil (bad childhood, etc). The crime is the same.

The smug, self-satisfied, ultimately ignorant, Progressives believe in neither Sin or Satan.
They will initiate an offensive to paint Rick as Dana Carvey’s Church Lady.

You know what gets me about all this hitting Santorum for his beliefs?
We must always respect Muslims and their beliefs.
Even the religion the world most likes to kick around, the Jews, have their tenets respected in public life.
But Christians are not allowed to be actual Christians! Unless they are part of another protected minority (see funerals, Whitney Houston).

Is there anyone out there who doesn’t think that Drudge got the 4 year old tape from the Romney campaign?

I don’t understand what’s the controversy here. He’s absolutely right. And at this point many millions of Americans agree with him.

Santorum needs to give it a rest. All of this will not go over well in the general election, if he wins the nomination.

This crap will get old and Santorum better wake up. We need substantive answers like those that Newt gives us. We know King Obama is a communists black Muslim lover and that is what we need to address, not religion.

From the article:
"Why wouldnt a president whos passionate about Americas perceived moral failings want to use his power to whatever extent he could to reverse them?"The answer is that conservative Christians, recognizing that "all sin and fall short of the glory of God," believe that choosing someone's behavior for them is not as valuable to God as letting them make their own choices. That is the basis of freedom.
This is the opposite of liberal progressivism, in which the government micromanages politically correct outcomes and ignores its own hypocrisies. That is the basis of tyranny.

To: RobinMasters
Like most conservatives, I agree with Rick Santorum's comments on Satan and don't consider them 'controversial'. I also see that Matt Drudge is on the Romney team, as are many people I once considered conservatives. Not any more. This election will not only be crucial to the future of America and as dirty as an election campaign ever was but it will also weed out conservatives and those who talk the conservative talk but embrace the Republican establishment status quo. Drudge, Ann Coulter and others are coming out of the establishment closet and believe me, for this conservative, that door can never be shut again no matter how these people attempt to excuse their allegiance to Romney and the smarmy, GOP-generated attacks on Rick Santorum. I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it, anymore!

I’m still a Gingrich fan. But I like Santorum more all the time.

Oddly, he wasn’t a Presidential candidate when he said those things, he was apparently giving a spiritual message in a church.
And while it doesn’t sound like what I would usually expect from a Catholic brother, it seems hauntingly accurate. We have for way too long forgotten that there is really a devil, and he really does work against us to turn us from God.
To: RobinMasters
Satan is real, so is God and so is Jesus Christ. I’m not sure what else I can add to that.
