When Ruth Bader Ginsburg said in Egypt recently that she "would not look to the U.S. Constitution if [she] were drafting a constitution in the year 2012," it was no surprise. In that the Constitution militates against a nanny state and preserves a status quo, it is by its very nature a conservative document. This is why liberals hate it so. And, as the power of the left grows via their control over the culture, their teeth and contempt for the Constitution are displayed ever more (see Obama, Barack et al.). But what of conservatives?
Some may say that I need not ask; as reflected in the rise of the Tea Party and Ron Paul, constitutionalism is all the rage. In truth, though, while conservatives generally mean well, most just play at constitutionalism.
"What are you talking about, Duke?" you may ask. "I believe in constitutional adherence!" Well, let's conduct a little test. What do you think about Social Security?
Because, you know, it is unconstitutional.
This is where most conservatives will say....

Three women on the U.S. Supreme Court and all 3 are communists. Nuff said.
Same here. What kind of conservative would support Social security, individual mandates, and socialized education?
Conservatives are for the constitution, republicans are for Ginsburg.
this is why I no longer call myself a conservative. I have upgraded to small l libertarian... strict constitutionalist.
From conservative 9.0 to libertarian 1.0?
It took me a loong time to find out I was the caboose to the liberals locomotive...this article gives me a little insight on why.
Alas!...I may have to upgrade too!
Actually, it surprised me that she was so candid.
Conservatives are not defined by what they claim to be.
They are defined by their beliefs and actions.
Many people falsely claim the label of conservative because they don’t want to be labelled as liberal, progressive, or socialist. But they live and vote in decidedly unconservative ways and are not conservative in fact.
Isn’t it interesting that we do see liberals claiming to be conservative but do not see conservatives claiming to be liberals?
I’m afraid that you are correct.
A talk show host read select portions of the South African “constitution”...and it appears to have been written by public school dropouts.
Get a copy and have a laugh.
It says a lot about Ruth Bader whatever Ginsberg.
She is as vapid in the brain as she is ugly on the inside.
Each day, I have less and less respect for both our law practitioners and those schools that claims to have taught them.
This is how fascism comes into the halls of power, usurping the constitution. These three women are so self convinced of their suoperior morality, that they all would use force majeur to impliment it.
The constitution be damned, we are now in an era of holier than thou liberal fascist morality.
And 3 little old ladies claim to pu$$y whip us and rule us on their morality alone.
How much more fascist can it get? Well watch it when they pick up arms and begin to shoot those whom they define as “unhuman.”

Constitution? We have a Constitution?
Well to all this I say what the Freakin Hell Choice do we Have? I am 62 years old, when I was 30 years old I went to My accountant and he told me I have to Pay this 15% self Employment tax, better Known as Social Security, and I said I am Paying for My own Retirement Plan and I dont Want to Pay that,He then Just said well Ok how much time to you want to spend in the Big House.
So spare me the Hypocrisy argument, its either you pay or go to Jail, when we have the choice to pay or not then write your story. By this Logic Obama is a Rabid conservative since he is the one Bankrupting social Security Now by starving the Program with his so called Tax Cut and therefore will bring the demise of the Program sooner so you better vote for him
There are so many things that are unconstitutional. I daresay, no President in a hundred years has truly followed it. ALL of them were wrong, as is the vast majority of the country. As an aside, there was a time when this country believed it had to pass an Amendment to ban intoxicants.
I am afraid Nobody is what they claim to be—nor what others claim to be but an odd mixture of both. Life is not a piano keyboard with everything black and white—but a collage of colors in a tapestry woven in time.
We have a Constitution -sadly it is too often ignored by those sworn to support it -and is no longer taught in too many schools—and often do we hear separation of church and state is in the first amendment —or the first amendment prohibits any religious display on government property? We have a Constitution but like Scriptures the written word is meaningless until it is written on the heart. And one decides it is worth dying to defend.
The reality is, in any event, that we are very unlikely to ever be able to restore a constitutional government upon this degraded remnant of America. The demographics have changed, the culture has been rotted from within, the education system has produced 2 generations of unthinking takers. If we had the most amazing leader you can imagine, and if we did start back on the path of restoring our country to the rule of law, then it would be a long gradual process of taking two steps forward, one step backward, for several generations at least. It would take a commitment by our side to retake command of things like education and news, instead of sitting idly by while we are bombarded daily with the latest outrage. It would take the kind of commitment that the marxists have shown for over 100 years to get to this point of finally breaking down the American spirit, because now you have to change hearts and to do that you have to create minds.
Things like repeal of health care would be easy and would happen quickly. We can lower taxes, reduce regulation and get the country going again. Then, in the same ratcheting way that marxists have, we need to ratchet things back. Remove a socialist program. Then move to the next step.
Things like repeal of social security would take a lot longer, and should happen only after the people have been conditioned to understand that it is illegal, and are prepared to retake responsibility for their own lives. Otherwise, the effort would fail, and we would return to tyrannical rule by the socialists who seek to destroy our system.
Add the Dept. of Education, no-knock warrants and FedMob drug laws to the list.
None! I think we can all easily agree to that....but when did we stop allowing ourselves (those in power) to be limited? John Adams with the "Alien" and "Sedition" acts, Jefferson with his purchase, Jackson in his answer to Marshall (which I'd have supported, but still) Polk with his acquisitions...on up through Lincoln and FDR when objections were subdued? It has ever been thus. Power corrupts absolutely and no mere document has been able to stop that. All is driven by culture and ours has tanked.
