I think many conservative leaders are so certain the Supreme Court is going to strike down Obamacare (and this whole contraceptive argument will then be moot as the government is claiming the authority to do it under the Obamacare law) that they saw no reason in fighting a skirmish now when the Supreme Court “nuclear bomb” would be dropped in a few months. I just hope they are right...

I respectfully differ. The established elitists in both parties want the HCRA to be upheld by the USSC. Power and money are at stake, and when in doubt, always follow the money. IMHO the USSC will uphold the law with 7 yeas, permanently establishing big government and crushing what is left of individual liberty. I pray that I am wrong as the stakes are too great.

Unfortunately, they are not right.
Conservatives will win and lose in court. They will win on the issue of the Commerce Clause; they will lose on the 16th Amendment tax argument.
And in this game if one wins on 9 points but loses on one point, then they lose period.
My opinion is not an opinion, it is the playbook the Left is using; the same playbook used by FDR lawyers in the 1930s to defend Social Security. The Left knows exactly what they are doing.
