GOP-e stoge and has been for a long time.
It’s time for Rev. Sanctimonious to go. He hasn’t won a PRIMARY yet, only caucuses.
What an idiot - and I used to admire his writing.
Basing his faulty premises on Newt’s age and physical shortcomings.
What about with age comes wisdom? I truly believe that journalists are intimidated by Newt’s intellect - they are too lazy to disseminate his arguments and overwhelmed by his analyses of the issues. They need to sit down and shut up or find a new profession; i.e. make-up artists or script writers.
Time for YOU to go, Tyrrell. You lost your edge when I was in pigtails and pinafore.
PS - And if this is about looks — ? You’re looking right grandfatherly yourself, Bob.
We are self-destructing. I find myself turning off Fox, all talk radio (including Rush), and hunkering down for the long haul. I don’t think we are going to win this election. The Republican AND the Conservative power elite do not want real change. So they will get four more years of Barack Obama and go down in history as the real losers.
As of Februrary 14th, Newt was polling in last place in Michigan, behind Ron Paul.
Now who should drop out?
FTR, Tyrrell is the same age as Gingrich.
In Newt's case it's very true. I have been very impressed with his vision as this campaign has unfolded, but it doesn't always hold true. Mr. Tyrrell is a good example.
Rev. Sanctimonious?? Is this an anti Catholic bias or just a general anti Christian bias? Santorum is a far better man on many levels than Gingrich or Romney.
Newt’s critics display an element of envy don’t they?
Share your sentiments.
Worst case scenario - Obama wins re-election and becomes even more destructive and arrogant.
Almost as bad scenario - Romney wins and keeps the Obama legacy alive for 8 years.
Bad scenario - Santorum wins and has no clue how to exert influence of Congress.
Least bad scenario - Newt wins and gets pummelled daily by the MSM with no support from the lazy GOP Congress critters.
MSM describes ‘crisis in economy, crisis in foreign affairs, crisis in WH staff, crisis in health care’ ad nauseum.
Guess his mother never told him....”never judge a book by its cover.” Vanity is rampant.
If Gingrich can’t win, is not gaining delegates, then why does it matter if he stays in the race. He is not hurting anyone, if no one is voting for him.
I am amazed how the establishment doesn’t like Gingrich, I guess they really just don’t like being called out.
Just think what he could do to Obama.
An interesting interview with Emmett Tyrrell (David Brock in the news now with his Media Matters — who was working for American Spectator at the time of this article, is also part of this column).

He has gone on to endanger Santorum and Romney.********
Endangering Romney is a very good thing. If Newt is doing as much he needs to keep on keeping on.
I personally think Romney should drop out as he’s gone on to endanger the conservative cause.
Newt has the skills and experience to get Americans behind our Country-wide campaign.
