The goal of this law is to make law abiding citizens CRIMINALS. Plain and simple.
You shoot someone who breaks into your house - you call 911 - the police show up and see the injured or dead suspect. They then ask who shot him - they then want to know if you had a firearm card - they then check to see if your guns are registered. If not then you are going to jail and face a felony.
You broke the law by shooting a criminal who broke into your house - because you didn’t register your gun.
This is also another way for the corrupt Government of Illinois to raise more money.
Money money money - for their bankrupt system.
I was last in Chicago in 2005 to attend the settlement of my wife’s father’s estate. When I left I promised myself I would never return. And I haven’t. And I never will.
What a cesspool that place is.
