Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) made a concerted effort to woo a conservative crowd today by talking about his opposition to gay marriage even before plans to slash the deficit.
He also peppered his speech before a full house at CPAC with the word “conservative,” frequently in the form of “we conservatives.”
“I did some of the very things conservatism is designed for… and I’m not ashamed to say I was successful in doing it,” Romney said for his first standing ovation, and his longest round of applause.

The Mass. Supreme Court ordered the legislature to reverse their ban on gay marriage. The legislature actually did nothing. But Governor Romney went ahead and said that he would fire any clerk in the state who refused to perform gay marriages. So, it was entirely his doing.
That’s “resistance” to gay marriage?

“Severely”...? What a weird use of the term. Only adds to the contention that Romney is bizarrely out-to-lunch when it comes to even understanding what conservatism is.
I see no distinction between mitt and your typical liberal idiot. He apparently thinks that simply saying something makes it true. I hope this douche doesn’t get the nomination.
There is Mormon temple in the DC area (you can see it from the Beltway) so there are LDSers Romney could of bused in.
