Yeah, that’s what I was thinking.

Who is ‘them’???

This girl was seriously freaked-out.

Since this is turning into a thread on prison conditions, I'll weigh in too. I am absolutely opposed to “prison rape” and allowing prisoners to be beaten or harassed by other prisoners, period. I don't care who the prisoner is — whether its this killer or John Wayne Gacy.

First, most people who are raped in prison are smaller, weaker inmates. Many are in for drug charges and don't remotely deserve to be raped — tortured — in prison. Second, even for people who commit more heinous crimes, its society's job to punish them, not the inmates. Inmates aren't raping or beating up other inmates to serve justice. They are doing it because they are sick, sadistic animals who get off on hurting people.

If we want a severe penalty for people like this killer, fine. Let society impose one. But putting people in jail on the hope that they get raped or beat up is wrong.

She needs to be kept in a cage for the rest of her life. What a horrible demonic creature.

While I’m convinced that a ‘horrible demonic creature’ was involved, I don’t think it was her. She just opened herself up to it somehow. Either the drugs or the lifestyle or both.

God still loves her and her victim is safe.

Doesn’t mean I think she should get out, just don’t hate her. It’s not good for your spirit.

Please GourmetDan, save the sermon about how I should or should not feel. This is about her, she’s a psychopath. I don’t care what was involved. Have you seen the videos of her laughing when she entices her little brothers to grab an electric fence? She’s a sick chick.

That’s good to hear you aren’t cheering it. The male counterpart of the 300 lb. tattooed butch, the 300 lb. cellmate named Bubba, always makes an appearance here when some murderer deserving of the death penalty doesn’t get it, and far too many FReepers seem to regard prison rape as compensatory justice. Even for lesser crimes than rape or murder.

Our prison system could in fact greatly reduce the rape that occurs. Those who run it, those who work in it, choose not to.

How prison are run or the crimes that are committed in them is yet another conversation.

This article from my neighboring state, MO, offends everyone's sensibilities. The fact that this teen could barely remember her lawyer's words of repentance was pitiful to the victim's relatives.

It should be obvious to many that this girl has yet to come to the realization that what she did was morally reprehensible to everyone, not merely the family of the victim.

Our local radio talk show following Rush was handling calls and making statements questioning the teen's grandmother, who is raising the girl.

Excuse me, but where this girl has spent most of her waking hours need to be receiving the most scrutiny - her school, friends and "entertainment (including all tv shows and movies.)

The hosts of the show questioned grandma's not having looked at the girl's shocking photos on her facebook page! I daresay, grandma might not even know how to get online much less, have her own acct. with facebook to even look at her granddaughter's photos!

What she has been learning (or not learning), teachers' opinions and lack of morality that is illegal in education, especially the NEA, shares a far greater blame but in the end, this girl is over the age of reason so she, herself, is responsible and therefore will be receiving the full punishment of the law, save capital punishment.

If your comment that sending her to prison "in the hope that she gets rape" might mean my comment but you are way off base there.

I did comment on the reality that she will face in an adult prison for serious felons like her did not in any way indicate that I think that she or anyone at all deserve any abuse, much less "rape."

As to the heinous and despicable acts of some in prison, it is my believe that it is these people who actually deserve a death penalty for they merely continue to victimize society, in or out of prison. It is they that do not deserve to live with humanity, the guilty or the innocent.

It is my prayer that this girl, come to recognize her poverty of morality, come to understand that her victim's life was precious and that she stole that life, that she come to understand that she deserves to be punished for her deeds and that asking for any kind of clemency(which she will probably get at some later date), but that as she denied the right of her victim to live, she should pay with her own life and accept that fact. Anything less from her is an injustice to murder victims every where.
