Ninth Circuit Court asks Obama adminstration to clarify its deportation priorities

In a direct challenge to the Obama administration, a federal appeals court temporarily halted the deportation of seven immigrants until federal authorities explain whether they should be deported.

"It has caused quite a stir," said San Jose immigration lawyer Bernadette Connolly, whose client David Aranda Rodriguez is one of the seven who won the unexpected reprieve Monday.

A panel of the San-Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 to give the Obama administration until March 19 to explain if Aranda Rodriguez and the other immigrants deserve a break under a new enforcement policy known as prosecutorial discretion.

The dissenting judge called putting the deportations on hold an "audacious ruling" that exceeded the judges' authority.

Not unusual for the 9th Circus. Newt is right. This Circuit should be broken up. Give these looney tunes Judges a strip of land from LA to Marin County and nothing more. Create 3 or 4 more Circuits and stack them with conservative Judges. What's left of the 9th can have their silly rulings apply in a narrow strip of California and no where else.

Could fall out of my chair, but the court could be telling the clowns in Washington that the power does not exist. All prior courts have said the power to decide who can and who cannot be a citizen rests fully with congress. Same case that says the states have the right I enforce immigration laws.

This un-American court should be defunded by the House. There is no excuse for their dictatorship infecting so many western states.

The 9th Circuit Court is the filthy truck stop you pull into on the highway to the Supreme Court. You pull in only because you have to. You avoid eye contact and scrub your hands, and then you get out of there as fast as you can.

since when does current administrations enforcement “policy” take precedence over THE WRITTEN LAW?

Gingrich was right- we need to cut off the 9th circus

This is what happens when you have an administration that doesn’t enforce the law. By setting priorities, it has made these challenges possible.

This seems to be an action that may backfire on the Appeals judges. It may force the Urkel administration to give up this capricious prosecutorial judgement policy.
