Rick Santorum Resets the Race: Wins Missouri, Minnesota and a Path to the Nomination
Catholic Online ^ | 2/8/12 | Keith A Fournier

... The political "left" knows that Rick Santorum is a formidable candidate from a working class family. Further, as his recent debate performances have demonstrated more than the speech this evening, they also know he is a formidable communicator and does not need a teleprompter.

They know he possesses the courage needed for the upcoming contest with President Barack Obama. That is why they deride him so viciously. He threatens them.

They have thrown everything they can at him. For example, they attempted to make his defense of the Right to Life of all persons, including children in the womb, sound extreme. It is not. They have failed. He has also shown himself to be a full spectrum candidate, ready to debate every issue...

...I am one of a large group of Americans who are tired of the Republican establishment picking the nominee of the Party. I am a "Reluctant Republican". I have no other choice. I left the Democratic Party when the opponents of the fundamental human right to life took control of the leadership of that Party and turned it upside down.

I grew up in Dorchester, Massachusetts in a working class home. Sadly, the bizarre alliance which took over the Democratic Party many years ago has held it captive for decades. ..

Santorum connects with people like us. Many are still in the Democratic Party. Others are Independents. They live in the blue collar sections of this great Nation. With a Santorum candidacy they become one of the most potent segments of the electorate. The Democratic party knows this. They do not want to run against Rick Santorum because they cannot play a 'class warfare" card against him....

The real story was the magnitude of what happened in this extraordinary vote. Not only did Rick Santorum win both the Missouri and the Minnesota showdowns, (and possibly Colorado) but he did so decisively. Tuesday night the inevitability balloon of a Romney candidacy exploded. Rick Santorum has just pulled of an historic political upset and the Republican primary race has been completely reset.

Maybe people can see now why Palin refused to make a hard endorsement, but I doubt it.

Michelle danced around every attempt Greta made to put her on the spot and make an endorsement or even where she leans. Many here will say she is running for Romney’s VP, but I am not that jaded.

Time will tell.

Santorum made an interesting point tonight...saying that the first 5 primaries were not representative of the rest because Romney and to a lesser extent Gingrich and Paul and the others have been spending big $ there for months and the outcome was more/less a foregone conclusion (i.e. Romney=NH). His win in Iowa being an exception, and now he says he’s back in the midwest, level playing field. Maybe so...

Useless contests for useless people. This guy is another degenerate pond scum lawyer who voted to force workers to belong to a union and pay dues against their will, and endorsed Romney in 2008. He remains in the race bankrolled by Romney supporters. In short, a stalking horse for the RNC and the country clubbers. And he comes from a family of bright red communists in Italy .

As absurd as it gets. Santorum is a communist, bankrolled by Romney, yadda, yadda, yadda. Yeah, Romney is helping Santorum so Santorum can get more delegates and keep him from reaching a majority and allow Santorum to tear him to shreds in a debate and damage him - brilliant strategy. Remind me of this post if in the future I make the mistake of taking anything you say seriously.

Before it was Cain, now it is Santorum. Same template, filled with different names.

And only the MO contest had no effect on delegates. The effect on delegates are already being estimated based on the results in CO and MN: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/elections/2012/minnesota-caucuses-feb-7 http://www.foxnews.com/politics/elections/2012/colorado-caucuses-feb-7

WOW! Read that twice to make sure he was saying what he was saying. Claims Santorum is a Commie Pinko on top of the recently discredited stalking horse charge. Unbelievable.

Nasty Romney - the ineligible, backstabbing RINO:
"Me. Me. Me.
I am entitled. Me. Me.
I choose. I chose. I decide. Me. Me. Me.
BAIN, Marriott, and I already destroyed every single
other potential conservative candidate, and
BAIN and I already PAID everyone in the media
FOR MY nomination.
So, it is MINE. MINE. MINE.
Bow to me. Now. Bow. "
