(Cairo, Egypt) -- Egypt is set to try 19 Americans, including the son of former Illinois Congressman Ray LaHood.
Egyptian officials announced yesterday that Sam LaHood is among the 43 people to be tried for what prosecutors called using funds from their non-profit organizations to foment unrest in their country.

Wow, if we in the US took that approach we could really get things cleaned up in America. The entire Left is comprised of groups doing just this everywhere in the US.

We currently send Egypt a little under $2B/year. Egypt is essentially bankrupt, and the people who supported the Muslim Brotherhood's takeover will NOT be happy if Egypt is forced to undertake austerity measures.
This probably results in the death penalty. LaHood is really going to be POd at ‘bama.
I have to think that the rest of these arrestees are also from rather elite families. I know the media covers for Obama, but I’m wondering if this might not prove to be his own Americans held hostage bad sit.
And the Egyptians have been bi-partisan, there are dems as well as pubbies sitting in the cells.
Fast and furious only killed a couple of hard working LEOs and some Mexicans, so that is easy to overlook.

Interesting that they would title this story “Son Of Former Illinois Congressman” rather than “Son Of Obama Transportation Secretary”.
