Will that work? It could.
If he can resist the temptation to whine about how mean Mitt's been to him. That makes him look weak. Republicans aren't looking for weak.

I can just see Newt and Callista at a NASCAR race. Maybe she can entertain the crowd by playing her French horn during a delay caused by one of those smash ups.

Wooing the Nascar voters is Good, but DO NOT INSULT the PGA golf tour or golfers in general, DON'T DO THAT.
We are golfers in this household, and I can tell you that we only have 2 in our org.,club that a die heart Democrats, (they are very old, by the way.), and we let them have it every opportunity we get.
If satan himself were running as a Democrat (what else would he be), but anyway, these Christian Democrats would vote for him.

Did he really say he didn’t want golfers to vote for him?
I mean, go for NASCAR, but it’s not like there aren’t more than a few voters who seem to enjoy watching PGA golf.

Like Mittens can woo NASCAR, hahahahahaha!

Not to be a Pollyanna, but I did notice that the Clark county GOP has STILL NOT RELEASED ITS FINAL COUNT.
Since by their own admission they account for 70% of the votes, how cam Mittens claim victory yet?

I’d like to see a direct quote attributed to Newt about this. I suspect the WaPo is using comments Newt has made about Romney being the candidate of the establishment and he, Newt, being the candidate of conservatism and turning that into this ridiculous “golf versus Nascar” meme just to try to start a new controversy against Newt.
