Odd...in Georgia, Kroger is a corporate sponsor of Georgia Carry...dunno about their policies, if any for carry by on-duty employees, though...

Thanks marktwain.
...he knew of Kroger's policy banning guns in the workplace, but said he had chosen to carry a weapon for the last three years. Elliott said he feared for his life and that he does not regret his actions, but understands that he put Kroger in a difficult position... Prosecutors said last month that Elliott would not be charged... Atkinson had a warrant out for his arrest in connection with a robbery and criminal confinement case.
Atkinson was shot dead, nice shootin' Mr. Elliott!

It has never been about crime. It has always been about deligitimizing firearms and self defense in order to further the power of the State. (at least since the beginning of the Progressive era, about 1900. Yes. That is the real issue. The rest is window dressing.

At Fort Hood 12 soldiers were murdered by Major Malik Nadal Hasan a doctor and avowed Jihadist. There are more small arms weapons in Fort Hood than any place in the United States. Major Nadal was able to kill with impunity because only the guards and security on base can carry weapons. Nidal had many minutes to fire with absolute impunity due to our insane laws governing the carrying of weapons.
If there is one armed terrorist in the room with 100 unarmed people, the terrorist has the advantage. If there is 1 terrorist in the room and 1 armed citizen among the 100 people the armed citizen has the advantage. The terrorist has an adversary but he is 1 in a 100 and the terrorist does not know who he is. The armed citizen knows who is the bad guy.

“...doesnt want to ever be put in that situation again.” I’d want to become invisible after such an episode.

The places I refuse to patronize are the ones that require you to check your weapons upon entry.
