Democrats Can Vote For Progressive Darcy Richardson
Irregular Times ^ | 1/13/2012 | J. Clifford

You may remember how, last year, the New Progressive Alliance burst upon the scene, with the goal of promoting a liberal candidate to challenge Barack Obama in the Democratic Party primaries. This month, they found that candidate. This week, the New Progressive Alliance endorsed the presidential campaign of Democrat Darcy Richardson.

Darcy Richardson campaign button “Darcy Richardson is the best way for Democrats sick of the past three – and 30 – years’ needless compromises to register their dissent,” says the New Progressive Alliance.

Unlike Stephen Colbert, Darcy Richardson is actually on the ballot – in Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Louisiana. Activists are currently at work to get Richardson on the ballot in other states as well.

Since the day he became President, Barack Obama has been disregarding the wishes of the liberal Democrats who put him into the White House in the first place. In 2012, it’s time for liberal Democrats to return the favor. Put on this Darcy Richardson for President campaign button to show that you’re willing to make the change that Barack Obama could only promise.

Observe the Progressive activist waste their time to get Richardson on the ballot in other states as well. At least they are diverted from more Wall Street Occupation(I think). Even Richardson acknowledges he's not trying to win in the video interview previously posted on his web site. There hasn't been a new post on Richardson's web site since January 17, http://www.darcy2012.com/ and you'd think a campaign would have a little more activity. Though that campaign button is sure tempting, being we ain't going to have a Hillary.2012...

Just occurred to me, Sarah Palin has a better chance of winning and she isn’t trying to get on any ballot.

Darcy Richardson is actually on the ballot – in Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

That's four more states than zero is eligible for.

You’ll like this from the button web site;

http://progressivebuttons.com/?p=116
What would a progressive Darcy Richardson look like as President? Here’s a sample, from the Richardson for President campaign:

“…calling for a new Works Progress Administration (WPA), similar to the massive jobs program implemented by Franklin D. Roosevelt during the Great Depression…

A Richardson Administration will also bring an immediate end to the war in Afghanistan while fighting for a drastic 33% to 50% reduction in military spending.

I will also put the full weight of the White House behind Sen. Bernie Sanders’ proposed constitutional amendment to overturn the narrow 5-to-4 Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United vs. the Federal Elections Commission giving corporations the same First Amendment free-speech rights as individuals while recklessly allowing for unrestricted and undisclosed spending by corporations in U.S. elections.

A Richardson Presidency will also vigorously defend the environment, beginning with doing everything in its power to block the Keystone XL project.”
