Isn’t there a commandment about this? Something about carrying the Lord’s name for the purposes of evil.
Beware of False Prophets
Many verses :
Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
2 Peter 2:1But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you...3And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you
Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
Isa 30:9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD
Isa 30:10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits
Jer 14:14The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.
