Failing.

The New York Times Company reported on Thursday that its fourth-quarter profit declined 12.2 percent as rising subscription and digital advertising revenue at its largest newspapers could not offset the continued drop-off in print advertising.

I love it and am not ashamed to admit it.
The Rag will exist only on the web. That means the "playing field" levels out. When THAT happens, the libs always lose.

This makes me very happy!

The only way for the MSM to lose their grip over the slumbering American public is for the MSM to implode.

Crash and burn NY Slimes.

A good start — with room for improvement.

The NYT expended what little trust they still retained by taking a shockingly partisan and once-sided position to collude with SEIU, UAW, ACORN, and dead voters in electing Obama. Obama destroyed our economy. The collapse of our economy and of trust in reporters is killing NYT. If I was a journalist, I would describe this outcome as “unexpected”.

I read in another article that the family was demanding that the parent company of the NYT, begin to again pay dividends.

It seems that they stopped paying dividends trying to turn the Titanic away from the iceberg but it isn't working.

I guess the rich kids figure if the business is going bust, they might as well party on the way down.

Funny stuff! How do they continue year after year though? I always thought that a fair to good business model included the word, “profit”. BWAHAHA

If Conservatives would unite in a boycott like the leftists often do, and promote a boycott of the NYT’s main advertisers, this outlet could be pushed over the edge.

I enjoy the thought of Krugman scavenging food from a dumpster.

If Conservatives would unite...

EXACTLY, wrencher.

Workers of the world unite? No...workers, employers, entrepreneurs, inventors and the productive of the world unite against the parasitic, money-for-nothing, power-hungry, money-sucking-socialist-scumbags, especially those in government.

DEFUND all things socialist including all of their propaganda arms.

DISMANTLE their foreign and domestic collectives, UNaccountable bureaucracies, czars, NGOs and other UNaccountable agencies operating under the auspices of “government”.

DEPOPULATE socialists/collectivists/communists/progressives/totalitarians from the body politic...(a good place to start)...

Above all, if you wish to be strong, begin by rooting out every particle of socialism that may have crept into your legislation. This will be no light task. - Frederic Bastiat

2010 was a very good start

Socialism Is Legal Plunder

Mr. de Montalembert has been accused of desiring to fight socialism by the use of brute force. He ought to be exonerated from this accusation, for he has plainly said: “The war that we must fight against socialism must be in harmony with law, honor, and justice.”

But why does not Mr. de Montalembert see that he has placed himself in a vicious circle? You would use the law to oppose socialism? But it is upon the law that socialism itself relies. Socialists desire to practice legal plunder, not illegal plunder. Socialists, like all other monopolists, desire to make the law their own weapon. And when once the law is on the side of socialism, how can it be used against socialism? For when plunder is abetted by the law, it does not fear your courts, your gendarmes, and your prisons. Rather, it may call upon them for help.

To prevent this, you would exclude socialism from entering into the making of laws? You would prevent socialists from entering the Legislative Palace? You shall not succeed, I predict, so long as legal plunder continues to be the main business of the legislature. It is illogical — in fact, absurd — to assume otherwise.

The Law - Frederic Bastiat
