These things happen on a semi-regular basis in both the Arctic and Antarctic...”...said John Sonntag, Instrument Team Lead for Operation IceBridge, ...”
He’s gonna get in trouble with the global warming people for saying that

One of the scientist involve basically states, that this is a ‘normal’ occurance.
“These things happen on a semi-regular basis in both the Arctic and Antarctic, but its still a fairly large event, said John Sonntag, “
But the ‘writer’ of the article just HAD to add this:
“To scientists, this is more than a vast spectacle. Both polar caps are losing ice, and researchers studying the worlds climate say they want to understand the process.”
Nope. No ‘subtle’ agenda there..

When hairline cracks appear in the A380, it’s no big deal. So what’s the problem here?

“Antarctica is so vast that the pictures give you no sense of scale.”
Pine Island Glacier is losing ice very quickly, about six meters per year”
If Antarctica is so vast and that pencil thin line is 800 feet across, then how can 18 feet a year of lost ice be considered important or quick? if you can barely tell that something is 800 feet across, how in the world is 18 feet important?

How come mountainous volcanos are allowed to erupt, the earth is allowed to quake, but ice is not allowed to crack?
