A collection of 10-foot-tall fiberglass sculptures of Les Paul Gibson guitars is unloaded by artist Jeff Seymour (left) and George Clemmerson of F.A.S.T. Corp., which produced the guitars. Local artists will be chosen to paint the sculptures, which will be placed in prominent locations in Waukesha.
Wisconsin Gibson Guitar Ping
If you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list, just FReep Mail me.
I hope they don’t get raided by Barry’s U.S. Fish and Wildlife commandos for not hiring somebody from Indonesia or India or wherever paint the guitars.

The rig the Feds bring during the next intimidation raid to haul those things away is gonna look like something out of a Transformers movie.
Dammit man only a pervert would do it to the back of a guitar!
It’s a shame that Les Paul wasn’t around to see this. I think he might have gotten a kick out of it...
He was still playing gigs, right up to the end.

Let me guess. Holder and the boys will raid this display because they used illegal fiberglass.

The govt will not stand for this! They obviously need to bust in, kill everybody, burn the place down (especially if they’re kids inside), and shoot every dog within a 2 mile radius. Then promote everybody a couple of ranks with bonuses.
Where is the picture of the mammoth fiberglass bulldog?
Guess the photographer didn’t get there before the truck left to deliver the bulldog elsewhere.
How’s the sustain? Nigel Tufnel will want to to add one to his collection.
Or, insist that Waukesha import non-citizens to do the finish work...
Another Gibson, 10ft price...

Guitartown did Nashville in 2006. I’m sure he saw that one.
Or, more likely, some blogger who knows nothing about guitars or the facts will post something. It will be picked up by countless other bloggers, and then people will create bogus facts out of thin air (e.g., "Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz is a conservative/Republican who donates to Republican candidates.")
As someone who has consulted with representatives of NAMM and manufacturers on the proposed Lacey Amendments, I'm still stunned at how little people really know about the "Gibson raids" (other than Gibson's press releases and some blather from uninformed bloggers). I say "Gibson raids" because Theodor Nagel Gmbh was as much a target as Gibson and will be when and if the indictments come down.
Gibson had a man on the ground in Madagascar for two-and-a-half weeks. Gibson's own internal emails and reports indicated it was doing something illegal. They got caught. But people aren't concerned about the facts because Obama and Holder are such easy targets.
