Ditto! If America’s republicans are going to be stupid enough to pick the liar Romney, then they DESERVE four more years of Obama and I’ll help give him to them! (Yes, I’m pissed).

"It's all an illusion"

I'm slowly coming to that conclusion, rather late in life.

I couldn't help but be discouraged last night when I realized what the results would be. Why did I even bother to march with the Tea Party against Obamacare?

I have not listened to Beck since shortly after he left Fox. I was listening on the radio for a while and he started sounding more and more like a delusional nut so I turned him OFF!

Look FRiends I hate to say this but I think Romney is going to get the nod. Newt hasn’t been good in the last couple of debates and he doesn’t have the money to compete with Romneys attacks or his organization. I effing hate Romney look at my tag line, but I’ll vote for the effing weasel because he’s just a little better than Obama. I hate saying that.

Voters in other states can see through this crap.

I dunno--A lot of us here in Florida knew it was crap, yet it was very effective.

At least the 25 robo-calls per day are over.

Excellent analysis!

In addition to everything else, Romney has used up all his ammunition. He still has unlimited amounts of money, but the outrageous charges and vicious smears are not going to have the same impact when made the second time around in some other state. People have already been there and done that. And vicious personal attacks are the only thing Romney has to offer.

Romney has no ideas of his own, and he doesn’t want his own past, either political or business, examined too closely, so he can’t even talk about that honestly. That was actually the substance of Newt’s first negative ad about Bain Capital. Romney was wildly misrepresenting even what business he had been in (which he claimed allowed him to “create” a million jobs). So actually, even the Gingrich Super-PAC ad wasn’t a personal attack but a challenge to Romney’s self-proclaimed version of his record.

The big problem that Gingrich is going to have is getting his message out there. He gave some excellent addresses here in Florida, and they were attended by thousands of enthusiastic people (unlike Romney’s scanty talks, which were lucky to get 200 people). But if I had not watched them on the Internet because I learned about them here or in a similar source, I would never have known about them.

Mitt O’Bain is not the first Yankee to come South and institute a scorched earth policy.

Marchin' through Georgia, eh?

Willard has run the most disgraceful campaign I've ever witnessed. Wait 'til Obama turns his billion dollar campaign fund on negative ads about Mittens.

They are both great articles and resources BUT I’m trying to create a meme like 9-9-9. Something short that when googled turns to articles like this and the actual record.

Newt can’t continue to say Willard lies...It’s negative and turns back on him. He must go positive. A short meme can be put on signs, distributed through spokes people, post-a-notes on grocery items etc. It would show people with a little bit of research the WILLard is indeed a liar without Newt saying so...

Understand.

Keep collecting so we can tie the articles to the meme in the future. Be back with you when I find the information...Maybe Kristinn knows his way around the congressional record or knows a freeper who does.

Huntsman is a STRAW candidate in case Willard needs the delegates at convention. They are cousins (known each other all their lives) and the Huntsman family fortune is intertwined with Bain. Freepers found this out and posted it the day before Huntsman dropped out.

I like these "first hand accounts" from the exact time ...

THE SPEAKER STEPS DOWN

Why Newt Left the House

And these are good 'walks through history' too ....

Newt Camp

Dick Cheney: When Newt showed up he said, we can become the majority, we can take back the House of Representatives. We hadn't had the House since the 1940s. And initially, none of us believed it. But he was persistent, he was tenacious. He kept it up, kept it up, and kept it up. Finally by '94 he's the newly elected Speaker of the House of Representatives with a Republican majority. So I wouldn't underestimate him.

I really hate to say it, but I think this analysis is wrong.

Romney's ads didn't do half the damage to Gingrich's campaign that Gingrich himself did. Newt has the ability to be a fantastic nominee. The problem is that he seems to have a compulsion to shoot himself in the foot whenever things look like they're going his way.

The moon colony thing was a absolute gift to Romney, because it confirmed the worst fears/myths about Newt being a bit of a whacko. It then put him on the defensive in the first Florida debate and made him the topic of jokes.I supported Newt, and I still do. But when I heard that one, all the hope I felt after SC kind of vanished. It was like I could hear the voice of Reagan inside the heads of undecided voters: "there you go again."

Newt cannot win this race unless he stops shooting himself in the foot. Going "negative" is backfiring because he's emphasizing the wrong things (kosher food? Seriously?), and largely attacking Romney from the left.

The Newt who best articulates what is wrong with this country and how to fix it has to return. The Bain Capital/Moon Colony/Kosher food Newt has to go away. Otherwise, this primary is over.

Like all brilliant and prescient and even prophetic writers, I know my editor is darned lucky to have me /sarc.

Seriously, Thomas Lifson is a very good editor and he’s made me a better writer. I do think he should have used my header on this one though.....

I won't vote for Romney because I see no difference between hm and Obama. Maybe then we can just get CWII underway.
