As GOP presidential contenders dogfight, how's Obama doing? [BARF ALERT]

It’s way too early in the presidential campaign to make predictions about the 2012 outcome. But at this point, President Obama might confidently say, “I’ve got ‘em right where I want ‘em.”

Front-runners Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney are battering each other rhetorically as Rick Santorum and Ron Paul circle around, trying to get a jab in here and there.

Obama’s approval ratings are inching back upwards as much of the electorate begins to see glimmers of hope in the economy. And if the election were held today, he would beat any one of them, according to the Real Clear Politics polling average.

[…]

While the number of people who said the country is headed in the right direction remains a relatively dismal 30 percent, that’s up 8 points from last month and 13 points from October. Meanwhile, for the first time in seven months, more people approve of Obama’s job performance than disapprove (48-46 percent).

What’s the political import of such numbers?

“Republicans had better bring their A-game to the election in November,” said Republican pollster Bill McInturff, who conducted the NBC News-Wall Street Journal survey together with Democratic pollster Peter Hart. “Today's results are a reminder – as attitudes about the economy improve, so does President Obama's standing.”

[...]

He has the advantages of incumbency, from Air Force One to a traveling press corps always standing by. In his case, there also seems to be a self-confidence and ease of manner that were big parts of his success in 2008. In a few months we’ll know whether his personality, character traits, and those polling numbers hinting at a turnaround in public perception are enough to win him a second term.

With Romney going up against him, he will win.

I am going third party if if's Miit. Let the GOP burn to the ground.

They are the ones who got us all in this mess. Not one person has the guts to stand up to Obama.

all the numbers on the economy improving are phony. Regardless, people vote with their pocket books and not with what the media wants them believe by posting fake numbers. I don’t know about you but my pocket book is empty. I’d vote a jar of peanut butter over Obama and I’m an independant.

No matter how bad the economic news, the MSM spins it as positive. Anyone who is betting their life savings on “the recovery is trending up in spite of the minor set back....”, has to be an idiot. The Fed is setting the interest rate at .25% through 2014 which means inflation will be running at 35% by then. Shades of Jimmuh Cartuh! I think the MSM news readers and pundits should be required to disclose salary payments made by the Food Stamp President to them.

Here's the way I see it. The way the Republican gladiators are slugging it out at this early stage, they are earning their stripes. They are becoming warriors and there will be no mercy for The One. Even Willard is taking off his tie and unbuttoning the top button.

They will be ready and willing to open up the can of wump-ass!

Meanwhile, Zer0 is being medicated to keep from sucking his thumb in the fetal position and clicking his heels together saying, "I wish my mother never left Kansas! I wish my mother never left Kansas!"

The next time Zer0 rolls into your town have a sign that says:

OBAMA! WHY TAKE THE PLANE?

GO GREEN!

FLY YO' BROOM!

I never had a lot, but I retired with a Cushion to see me through.

That cushion has gotten smaller and smaller as Taxes, Gasoline ,Food, Insurance, have all gone up.

Trying not to dip into my savings.
