Is Romney the Conservative that he claims to be
Jake Jones, Evangelical Examiner
Is Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney a true Social Conservative as he alludes that he is.
Evangelical Christians would like to know!
We have to remember that he was for abortion before he said he was against it,
and that his state is at the mercy of RomneyCare, which was certainly a precursor of ObamaCare.
Does it seem strange to you
that a Democratic President follows in the footsteps of a Republican Governor on this issue?
Is there a tie between the two personsand/or is there a tie between the [both parties]and the motivation to lead this country down the road to full blown socialism.
Today,Personhood USA has noted that Romney has already turned down requests to participate
in Personhood USA's Iowa Tele-Town Hall; then Personhood USA's Live Presidential Pro-Life Forum,
Romney has now stiffed the Pro-Life group once again by failing to respond to the invitation to attend Florida Awake;
a Presidential Candidate Forum sponsored by Liberty Counsel and co-sponsored by Personhood USA.
According to Personhood USA, Mitt Romney is the only Republican presidential candidate who claimed to be Pro-Life,
yet refused to sign Personhood USA's Personhood Pledge,
which quoted and affirmed the Republican Party Platform on abortion.
The Iowa Tele-Town Hall, hosted by Personhood USA, included Senator Rick Santorum, Speaker Newt Gingrich, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, and Governor Rick Perry.
Personhood USA's standing-room-only South Carolina Presidential Pro-Life Forum included Speaker Gingrich, Senator Santorum, Governor Perry, and Congressman Paul.
Speaker Newt Gingrich and Senator Rick Santorum are confirmed to participate in Florida Awake!
Congressman Ron Paul regretfully declined, as he is not scheduled to be campaigning in Florida at that time.
The event is already sold out, with over 1800 tickets reserved.
Romney, who was expressly invited, has again neglected to notify organizers of his willingness or disinclination to participate.
Obviously, there are some unanswered questions about Romney being a true Social Conservative; and his ideas about abortion.
Why isn’t he willing to participate in such an important event as this?
Is it because Romney's just another Liberal burr under the saddle of Evangelicals?
It must be tough for Mitt to defend ...
Punishing The Innocent
Can we
really trust Mitt?
Mitt ... It's time to QUIT !!! /a

Romney proves last night it is possible to ace a debate and still come off unlikeable.

according to the Miami Herald Santorum is hauling butt back home and will be doing his taxes Saturday:
Santorum says he would rather spend his Saturday sitting at his kitchen table to do his taxes than campaigning in a state where the race for the Republican presidential nomination has become a two-man fight between Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney.

kind of hard to show up in Florida when you are home in Virginia

If RINOmney gets the nomination, it will be interesting to see if some of the more prominent social conservative activist groups such as National Right To Life, American Family Association, etc. endorse him in the general election.
We know where Mitt stands, but it will be more telling just how committed these orgs are when they make a stand....or not.

“Mitt ... It’s time to QUIT !!! /a “
Why should Mitt quit now? Such a hope is a pipe dream. He has money, staff, resources and he will fight to win taking it to Obama’s throat.
I supported Michelle Bachman and committed money. I spent my energy, hope and dreams on Herb Cain. They’re gone. Santorum is broke, Newt is flawed, despite all wishes that he wasn’t. Grit your teeth and bear it: Romney will be the Republican nominee. Take him or Obama.

Good morning:
Does Newt have a prayer? Please cheer me up.
I didnt watch the debate last night because I was out. DIdnt tape it. Havent read any of the posts. Depressed as hell from yesterday.
Clearly, Ann Coulter is behind Drudges posting of the anti Newt articles.
TGO was sticking up for NEwt last night big time, but then reminded us that hes for Santorum.
I think Newt has four days to make us all feel great about being Americans with big ideas. The aviation and space is an American venture. It can make us great again.

Romney's message has ALWAYS been clear to social conservatives:
He doesn't need us nor does he care about us and our values.

Mitt Romney is skipping this event because he is a coward, plain and simple.
He knows his record makes him red meat for the actual conservatives in this race in a forum that he cannot manipulate.
The GOP-E has declare War on us Tea-Party folks. They are telling us to shut-up, sit-down, and accept/vote for their crappy candidate or go elsewhere.
