I could say that we need to learn to STOP voting for state supremacists, no what the party affiliation.

But it’s a little too late for that, I fear. Now, there’s a butcher’s bill to be paid.

And now in 2012, the Republican Party insiders, along with the liberal press are trying to once again pick our candidate - a MODERATE Massachusetts Governor who introduced socialized medicine to his State and guess what my friends...

We lose either way.

You aren’t the only one who has HAD IT. I’ll be 60 this year and the only presidential candidate I didn’t hold my nose while voting for was Ronald Reagan. I wore a Goldwater button in 1964, but I was 12 years old.

In 1976, Republicans were being punished for Nixon and Ford’s pardon of Nixon. The Democrats could have put up a weak leader with poor ideas and still win, wait, they did do that.

In 1992, there was a populist little bugger from Texas with big ears named Perot who screwed things up. Not that Bush was perfect, but he did give us Clarence Thomas, a great Supreme pick.

In 1996, war hero Bob Dole, who literally gave his right arm for the country, took one on the chin for the Republicans because nobody was going to beat Clinton that year.

This is not to endorse Romney. It’s just pointing out additional information lacking in your original post.

I would prefer to see Wisconsin Governor Walker or Wisconsin Representaive Ryan in the race, but you can’t always get what you want.

NO to Romney, now and in the future. The GOP can just die for all I care now. Burn the republican party to the ground and stir up the ashes. It is cancer, desperately in need of surgical removal and thrown into the biohazard waste bin.

I’m in my early 30’s and have NEVER had a candidate with some real balls to vote for as president.

I remember in High School seeing Dole in the Debates sound like a complete coot, barely able to keep awake.

W barely won in 2000, and that whole aftermath was a stressful nightmare for me. In 2004 still barely won. No election night victory.

2008 we nominate McCain....McCain?????? Why? Because he was in Vietnam? What a waste!

I’m sick of these elections being wastes with barely victories and jokes for nominees that couldn’t stand up to a beam of sunlight.

But here we are AGAIN! A sizable chunk of the electorate wanting to go again with Mitt based on NOTHING they can articulate! Frigging idiots!

Using your example, a lot of Republicans did refuse to vote for moderate candidates. That’s why the Democrats won. I think we should extend that practice to include Republicans who won’t downsize government, even if they are for lower taxes. I’m also for boycotting Republicans who bash cultural conservatives and Christians. No telling who we will get, Obama, Gore, Kerry, maybe Barney Frank’s lover. At least we won’t get unsuitable Republicans.

And just which candidate hasn't been labeled a "RINO" in the halls of Free Republic?

And this isn't "breaking news" or news of any kind.

I would vote for Paris Hilton over Barack Obama.

I would vote for PEREZ Hilton over Barack Obama.

So if Willard gets the nomination, I'm voting for him.

Of course, he's not going to get the nomination.

If the GOPE wins and we get Romney as a candidate, I will not vote for him. I do not care if that means Obama gets reelected. A line in the sand MUST be drawn. I will join a third party. The Republican Party must be destroyed if we can't take it over. A third Conservative party WILL destroy the Republicans. BROKEN ARROW”

If we are going to have a gun grabbing socialist with no integrity in the Whitehouse, let it be a Democrat.

I will never vote for Romney. I’m finished with the lesser of two evils BS.

It's too late for this cycle, but I feel that it's time the conservatives abandon the Republican Party and form one of our own. We will never wrench the power from the elite establishment.
We need to think of what our core issues should be, start the process now. What do you think .....

A Romney nomination would have several lasting and serious repercussions.

A split of Conservatives/Tea Party away from the establishment GOP.

A third-party Tea Party candidate running in the fall.

The likelihood of an Obama second term on a 40% plurality.

The end of the GOP as they finish third.

Right there with you on this one veritas 2002.

Here was my rant on an earlier thread.

In 1981 when Reagan was shot I prayed he would live and not leave us with the abominable RINO Establishment GHWBush.

In 1988, I heard GHWBush say, "Read my lips" and thought, "Well, he learned something from Reagan."

But the RINO reverted to true form and abandoned conservatives with new taxes. Like a birthright being forfeited for a bowl of soup, he squandered the election for a "promise" from Democrats.

Considering the alternative was a total liberal Asshat (redundancy police notified) I held my nose and voted for him AND warned my friends they were electing Clinton if they threw their vote away on Pee-ROT!

So, in 1992 I held my nose and voted for GHWB...Clinton won and trashed the Constitution. BUT was countered by a man named Newt Gingrich.

In 1996 I held my nose and voted for Dole...Clinton won and continued trashing the Constitution. And continued to be countered by Newt Gingrich until the RINO Establishment stabbed Newt in the back.

In 2000 I held my nose and voted for GWB...and he barely beat a total jackass named Gore and then cozied up to Ted Kennedy with social programs.

In 2004 I held my nose and voted for GWB again...and he narrowly beat another total jackass named Kerry and wimped out on nearly every issue except National Security and in so doing foisted Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid into prominence.

And in 2008 I held my nose and voted for McCain...and Idi Obama won and trashed the Constitution.

Newsflash....I am NOT holding my nose anymore!

I am staying home and sending a message of Never Another RINO.

Well, what about the Congressional elections you might say.

Listen up!

Republicans control the House and haven't done SQUAT to stop the Idi Obama regime from running roughshod over the Constitution, and the Republican Senators act as if there is a Democrat super-majority in that chamber, so what good did it do to elect them to the majority in the House and increase their numbers in the Senate?

Anybody who wants my vote now...has to damn well earn it!

And after watching Mitt Romney "govern" Massachusetts and cozy up to the most liberal of Dems, he has a snowball's chance in Hell of convincing me to get off my ass and vote for him.

As far as I can see, neither Romney nor Gingrich is a conservative. Romney's track record as a devotee of Big Government is clear and undisputed and I will not vote for him.

Gingrich has previously endorsed an individual mandate in health-care, lobbied in favor of Bush's expansion of Medicare Part D, and endorsed the environmentalist wet dream of a carbon cap-and-trade market. He seems to be back-tracking furiously on all of these at the moment, but that doesn't reassure me. I'd greatly prefer a candidate whose positions a few years ago were the same ones he's espousing now that he's running for president.

I hope this does not mean you won't vote PERIOD!

Don't vote for Rino Romney but please consider voting down ticket for constitutional correct candidates down ticket. Even if the obamessiah wins, a constitutional congress can hold the line against an anti-american president and maybe we can take the next 4 years to build the constitutional party we desire.
