All we need to know to know that tax reform will be a prominent part of the presidents speech tonight is that Warren Buffetts secretary, Debbie Bosanek, will be in a box with the First Lady. Bosanek says she couldnt sleep last night because shes so excited even though she knows shell have to wake up in time for a dawn flight tomorrow morning to be sure to report to work on time.
Bosanek isnt the only interesting guest on the list, though. The First Lady has also extended invitations to: Steve Jobs widow, Laurene Powell Jobs; outgoing Rep. Gabby Giffords husband, Mark Kelly; and Adam Rapp, a cancer survivor that the Obama administration says was helped by Obamacare.
Obama will likely touch on something relevant to each of these guests: about efforts to stimulate technological innovation, for example; about what we learned from the Tucson shooting and the incredible story of Giffords recovery, perhaps; about the effectiveness of Obamacare, assuredly.
Thats not unusual; every president since Reagan has used guests to illustrate important points in his addresses. Personal anecdotes are always an effective way of touting a particular stance on an issue. Plus, they serve as an important reminder that policy matters because persons matter. Mentions of these guests even if theyre misleading about the overall effects of Obamas policies will at least enliven a speech that otherwise promises to be dully divisive.
6) allow banks to use taxpayer money to rent out houses and compete with the private rental property market (IOW federalize home rental markets ala fannie and freddie RENTAL corp)
7) eliminate bush tax cuts and tax all rich people. Rich defined as not recieving food stamps.
That’s about it...
“We need to tax millionaires and billionaires, blah, blah, blah... (clap, clap, clap)... blah, blah, uh, uh, “income inequality”... (clap, clap, clap)... I, I, I, I, blah, blah, blah... (clap, clap, clap)... “Buffett Rule”... pays less than his secretary, blah, blah.., (clap, clap, clap).. I, my program, me, mine, uh, uh... blah, blah... (clap, clap, clap)...”
And there you go.
There ain't too many left that aren't on them NOW !
I have read the communist manifesto and rules for radicals so I have a pretty good idea. Avoid an aneurysm and don’t watch! That’s why Mark Levin gets paid the big bucks.
He could say, “I am proud that Steve Jobs was a Democrat like me. It shows you that Democrats can be successful in job creation.”

Look left

Continue the above until end of speech or until teleprompter breaks.
I’ve have only been able to make it about half way through Obama speeches, before passing out and having my stomach pumped at the local hospital. We play a drinking game where we all have to drink every time he sais “I, me, my, mine, Bush, or inherited”. Due to previous speeches we have even dropped down to using O’Douls, but even O’Douls has enough alcohol in it (0.4%) to cause mass alcohol poisoning during his speeches.
Warren Buffetts secretary, Debbie Bosanek . . .
Tax the rich, so that Reid will have more money to waste? No, thank you. We don't need more class envy, we just need responsible government.
Steve Jobs widow
So technology is key, and we need the government picking winners and losers as Obama did with Solyndra, instead of letting the free market identify companies like Apple.
Rep. Gabby Giffords husband, Mark Kelly
Let's infringe on the right of the people to keep and bear arms? Again?
Adam Rapp, a cancer survivor that the Obama administration says was helped by Obamacare
Again, an expensive and unconstitutional extension of Obama's power over us "little people".
The bottom line: Obama has no plans to say anything that patriotic or productive Americans want to hear. Thank God that this is his last time delivering the State of the Union (if the GOP gets its act together - disappointingly big "if").
Comprised of victims and shallow celebrities no doubt.
Obamacare isn't in effect yet. How could this be? The only change I have seen is that my premiums went up like a rocket.
Don’t need a drinking game for how many times he says “I”. I’ll puke anyway.
Blame America
Blame Bush
give me more tax money
Blessings and prayers to those of you brave enough to watch obama tonight. I do not have the stomach to watch.
Yes, indeed. Nothing like a pep rally for the cause...
If Giffords' recovery was "incredible", why is that her husband is the one attending?
