Steve Jobs had a long history of trying to manufacture in America including when he returned to Apple in 1996 and during his exile at NeXT. Ditto for his attacks on teacher unions' ruination of education.
Face facts: in its current sloven, entitled state America can't compete in some sectors. Our management processes, our labor force, our regulatory climate, our education system are failures.
The product the NYTimes piece mentioned was the iPhone, not an "Ipod."
As much of an "honor" it might be to sit as a president's guest for a State of the Union, I'd have to turn Obama down. I wish Jobs' widow declined despite her politics. Jobs dined with Obama and other Silicon Execs but never donated to his campaigns or to any Dems in years.
When America woke up the day after Steve died, it suddenly realized .........

If Jobs wants to make factories the same way here as in China, then, yes , he is a creep.He is -was- a creep because he brought inhumane practices to China because he could get away with it.

Today is my birthday. I have a VERY NICE prime rib in the oven, with a rack of lamb on the side (just for me..). NO WAY IN HELL will I ruin this day by watching that traitorous muslim scum.
Mama, Today is my grandaughter, Samantha’s birthday!!! She turned 18 years young today. In addition to this being a glorious day and celebration of life for our family, we also added another avid Conservative to our voting bloc!!! She will not be watching the POTUS “Dirt Bag” Obama this evening and neither will all of us!!! And.....she will be voting for ABO (Anybody But Obama) come November 6, 2012!!!
Am hoping and praying that millions of other loyal, dedicated to Freedom, Liberty & Opportunity American voters will not listen to this horrible, failed “Flim/Flam” Obama this evening!!! He should be flushed down the nearest toilet into the cesspool of forever obscurity, where he and his destroy America, Democrat Party rightfully belong!!!

Steve Jobs is no American hero even if Wall Street and the media works their tail off trying to project him as one!
Had he worked to provide more opportunities for America and Americans I could buy it. Had he served in the military I could buy it. But the only opportunity he wanted was more billions for himself, undeserved advancement in the liver transplant list, more for China and less for the USA.
Read the articles about how he sold out USA production lines for a tiny sliver more in profit for himself. Obama and his owners, and Jobs and Wall St. can pound sand. Few of them have ever served in the USA military which is the ultimate sacrifice. They serve themselves at our expense.
Patriot means more than more money for oneself.
