I have basically seen no signs, which is unusual for FL, though perhaps not this early. FL is riotous with signs usually because it just so important. Last week the Paul people came by, put out a lot of signs and went door to door. Other than that, nothing.

Suddenly last week I started getting huge advertisements in my mailbox EVERY DAY from the Romney people. They basically are on how "Pro Family, Pro Conservative" he is. I now have a stack of FIVE that I have gotten in just the past week. I can't believe it- I've never gotten so much garbage this early in my mailbox from anyone. EVERY SINGLE DAY this past week! Big, Full sized postcard paper sheets.

On my way home from church there are a few houses blanketed with Mitt signs. There is nothing for any other candidate I have seen, except for Paul signs on several corners

I am just saying this as a heads up. This man has a lot of money. I have received and seen nothing for Gingrich or Santorum. I can tell you right now the liberal newspapers are pushing for Romney - the superlib rag The Tampa Times (the recently renamed St Petersberg Times) already came out and endorsed Romney.

You know, I’m starting to feel sorry for Romney. It sounds to me like he’s been had by his handlers. He’s spending money left and right thinking he can buy his way into the presidency.

I’ve been a registered voter for over 30 years. I never, I repeat NEVER listen more than one nanosecond to Robo calls...FOR ANY CANDIDATE.

I never, I repeat...I NEVER read the crap they stuff in my mailbox soliciting money or the literature to read. I don’t even it open it.

This guy has canned presentations and responses. He’s a good and descent guy. He’s methodical. He might be a great Sec of the Treasury or of Commerce or anything that he can sink his teeth into where his strengths are used to the betterment of this country.

BUT, AND PLEASE ANN COULTER IF YOU’RE LISTENING, Romney is not any more suited to be president than the guy who is in the White House now.

I feel sorry for the man. So much money and waste.

If he loses in Florida, and loses big...I would suggest he hang in there until super Tuesday to debate Newt, but beyond that if he’s still losing, why not coalesce around Newt and the party.

LET’S ALL UNITE TO BEAT OBAMA...!!!!!

One can reasonably assume that Mitt did the same thing in SC, including garnering MSM endorsements, etc.

He is, of course, free to waste his money in any way he sees fit.

Hmmm - the former St Petersberg Times - that means that Romney is getting the Scientologist vote? Figures.

What we have to do is go to Newt’s on-line site and give a few bucks. More is always better, but even $25 would help.

Both Romney and Paul have already spent a fortune on Florida, which is why you see signs from both of them and from nobody else.

Mitt is a fool’s fool. The world has changed but it hasn’t registered with his ilk. The peasants are a whole lot smarter and informed than they used to be.

Mitt is the John Connolly of this election cycle. No amount of money will make us like him.

Just an idea...Keep them all. Every day take a picture of the ever growing pile. Post that pic on a thread here. It would make great Opposition PR to mock him with.

Up here in the Panhandle, I have been getting daily Romney robocalls for almost a week. I haven’t gotten robocalls for any other candidate. I haven’t seen any mailings from any candidate. Maybe my better half has been throwing them away without bringing them into the house.

I am only seeing a few signs each for Paul and Romney. Yesterday I saw a couple of Newt signs for the first time.

But I don’t expect the candidates to spend very much money here - they will spend it in the south and central cities where most of the population is.

Ha ha—sounds like you’re having the same experience I had with Linda McMahon’s senatorial run here in CT in 2010.

I have a feeling Mitt will be about as close to the White House in 2013 as Linda found herself to Capital Hill in 2011.

Enjoy the junk mail while it lasts, leading up to caucus night we were getting at least 6 - 10 telephone calls every day. At least the junk mail doesn't ring...

time for a little fun.... take the pre paid envelope for your donation. Then fold, staple and stuff the envelope with all the other garbage you got from him and drop it in the mailbox.... since it will be oversize and overweight, the mitt campaign will be charged to have it delivered... he gets his garbage back, plus pays extra for the priviledge of having returned to him, plus he pays his staffers to open and discard...

There are numerous projects you can create and utilize your ‘trash’ for. I’ve seen couches made of phone books, rolled paper, glue, and a nice blanket to cover it. Paper is very sturdy when properly layered - after all it’s wood...

Let him blow his money. I believe that the Romney campaign is engaging in a degree of overkill that is mechanistic, unintelligent, and will ultimately backfire against him. They are subscribing to a pure mathematical model that says “if I expose you to “X” number of mailings I will capture .01137 of those who read my propaganda”. And they send another, and another, and another, under the erroneous assumption that each and every one of those mailings achieves an additional .01137. Romney’s is a campaign run by high-priced consultants, and one of the traps is that the more expensive the consultant you hire, the more you are inclined to believe them. And I think this is exactly where they are at. We see this in the mysterious, inexplicable “ceiling” on Romney’s popularity that somehow, despite all the $$ spent, could not bust through 25% or so favorable.

I think Mitt is probably a nice guy. He is undoubtedly a smart guy. He is good looking. He is excellent in business. But I think he is sub-mediocre in politics, and his record bears this out. I also think that Conservatives and yes, even those mysterious independents understand viscerally that he is a finger-in-the-air guy and that such an approach isn’t going to beat 0bama. (That last sentence is my opinion, but I honestly think Mitt would not beat 0bama)

Rush’s show today has stated my opinion precisely. It is not so much that the GOP base wants Newt. They know they do not want Mitt. They know even more they do not want to run another compromiser who will lose to the POS we have in the White House now.

Romeny has money. period.

Romeny has all the establishment lock step with him because THEY want money.

Romney is using the same consulting firm that Charlie Crist used. Well that did not work out so well...

The Robocalls are next. Those are ALREADY super annoying.

Romeny is arrogant in not trying to find what makes Gingrich so appealing.
