Ted Kennedy did not. He held onto his U.S. Senate seat till his last breath, then a temp. replacement (Kirk) was named
until the election was held. Ted’s health resulted in him missing a lot of votes and he COULD have stepped aside...
Considering how Teddy Bare would have voted, I give him credit for this last act of genuine public service.
