Hollywood strikes back!
The Motion Picture Association of America and its member studios are planning a $3 million print and online ad blitz to beat back opponents of controversial Internet anti-piracy legislation, The Post has learned.

PIPA Senate vote to be delayed, Reid announces

Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) announced Friday he would delay consideration of measure to combat online piracy, bowing to pressure from a coalition of Internet companies, including Google and Wikipedia, that rallied consumers to their side by saying the legislation could lead to the censorship of popular sites.

If Hollywood went broke tomorrow due to internet piracy or anything else it wouldn’t bother me in the least.
The trash they have put out for the last 20 years isn’t fit to watch anyway, and listening to rich actors who have damned little talent for acting , much less talent for Government tell me how I should live and what I should accept when it comes to queers and liberal politicians, and socialism is enough to gag a maggot.
So, the Hollywood elite put one of THE most crooked ex-Senators in charge? Lobby much? Another reason to boycott Hollywood and their largely crappy movies.
As for the lifelong Senator, making his fortunes through his cronies off the people’s backs and his POS legislation Dodd-Frank, I’d like to ask him how it feels to have government legislation screwing around with YOUR business? The irony.
I’d ask him...but I’d rather just spit in his eye. he should be starring in his own Alcatraz movie.

They are all that’s left of the dinosaur media, begging to be helped with there problem by the pol’s they have bought and paid for for many years, many of these people still think they matter, that anyone will shed a tear when they can no longer make buck by doing the same thing over and over again and expect us to pay a premium price to see it.
I don’t download copyrighted media from the Internet. I stop going to the movies except for special occasions years ago, I probably see two movies at the theater a year, I wait for them to come out on Netflix, and watch them at my convenience for about $1.25 apiece. Now to get people back into the theaters they are trying gimmicks like 3D.
It’s my personal opinion that the Theater para dine is becoming a losing proposition and overly expensive, not to mention some of the people you have to put up with at the theater.
For the price of 10 trips to the movies for 4 people, you can buy a very nice HDTV and sound system, and blue-ray player and stay home and watch there mediocre entertainment.
In my humble opinion, copyrights and patent durations have been inappropriately lengthened which ventures far from the original intent of having copyrights and patents in the first place, and have become inhibiting to capitalism instead of supportive.
