I'm officially endorsing Newt Gingrich for president today. Was going to wait until after Florida, but see no reason to delay. We need Newt to win in South Carolina and Florida to stop any possible momentum building up for the establishment big government, statist, abortionist RINO!!

RomneyCare = ObamaCare = government tyranny!! Taxpayer funded abortion is as evil as evil can be!!

Newt is a pro-life Reagan Revolution conservative who led the Republican Revolution of the 90’s, taking the majority away from the democrats who had held it for 40 years. And as Speaker, cut the taxes, cut the government, cut the spending, cut the deficit, cut regulations, cut unemployment, brought the federal budget under control for four years running. And unlike Romney, actually blocked a socialist healthcare system from becoming law. And created a pro-growth, pro-free market, pro-jobs environment and extended the Reagan economy throughout the 90’s!! Newt is the ideal candidate to lead the Tea Party Revolution!!

Newt plans to go to a 15% personal flat tax after deductions and a 12.5% corporate tax and eliminate the capital gains taxes altogether. He wants to privatize social security and medicare and eliminate the payroll tax.

And he wants to neuter the EPA and the Fed. Repeal ObamaCare, Dodd-Frank and Sarbanes-Oxley. Fire all of the czars, dismantle the Marxist state and fire if not jail Bernanke. And send 185 federal socialist welfare programs back to the states and the people, and return education back to local control.

Newt will directly challenge the liberal activist judiciary and end the unconstitutional power grabs of our usurping black robed rulers.

He wants to restore the constitutional balance of powers between the three branches and restore states rights and individual rights. He wants to turn government control back to the states and local people as the founders set it up.

These are the kind of dramatic reductions in government that the tea party is demanding.

And he has the knowledge, experience, know how, fire in the belly, and the balls to get it done!!

In short, I believe he's exactly what we grassroots conservative tea party rebels are looking for. I think we can use some of Newt’s conservative revolutionary talents right now!!

As long as the conservatives remain split, the establishment RINO Romney will waltz in just like McLame in 2008 and he will lose to Obama just like McLame. It's time to build the Gingrich Coalition!!

FR is hereby officially in full open rebellion against the elite GOP establishment and the Marxist commiecrats!!

Go, tea party!! Go, Newt!!

We are the resistance!!

Damn the torpedoes, damn the RINOs, damn the exes!! Full speed ahead!!

Free Republic is and will remain a pro-life, pro-family, limited government, strong defense, grassroots conservative site!!

RINOs need not apply!!

Happy Newt Day!! Only 366 days until President Newt evicts Obama!!

Jim R,

I appreciate the problem the current crop of candidates for the nomination poses to any Right-thinking Conservative — there ain’t a true Conservative in the bunch.

If what you’re saying is that Newt represents the least bad of a terrible list of alternatives, I sympathize. However, I view Newt as the very epitome of the Elite Republican Establishment. Notwithstanding his outstanding ‘debating skills’, he crashed and burned as Speaker and has been selling his soul for attention / notoriety ever since. He has no credible executive experience to speak of that suggests his performance in the Oval Office will even ‘resemble’ a true Conservative.

This just feels like another round of ‘hold your nose’ and vote for him anyway because the alternatives are so much worse.

No doubt I will ultimate vote ‘Against Obama’ come November, but I ain’t even close to endorsing ANY of the current crop of candidates in the meantime.

Great, count me in!

So who do we want for Vice President?

I’m not picky, but please let it be Natural Born Citizen

To: Jim Robinson; All

Of the four that are left: One Kook (Paul), One RINO (RINO-Rom), One Conservative who probably could not defeat Obozo (Santorum) and one Conservative who will mop the floor with Obozo in the Debates and win in November (Newt Gingrich).

If Santorum comes in 4th in SC, it’s time to drop and and endorse Newt so RINO-Rom will NOT win any Primary or caucus by a plurality.

I have said it dozens of times...including lengthy threads with JimRob.

Currently I am support Rick Santorum. He is the only candidate that has expressed statements that are directly inline with The Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution.

I have issues with his spending habits but I cannot find ANYWHERE that he has lied or flip flopped on a position and I agree with everything he has said he would do.

Dude, there is no-one tapping your phone!! Alvin Toffler is “hypothetical.” Newt’s forward only exhibits a willingness to look at the future in a scientific way, not an endorsement of his every idea.

To: thesearethetimes...

and it is way too early to endorsing anyone. This primary run is very different than any other GOP primary. It is much longer than others and we are at least two months from “endorsing” anyone.

Why would we want everyone to drop out at this point?

Let’s keep ALL of them in...

Endorsing Gingrich NOW helps Romney and Paul.

Santorum would be wise to stick it out and wait until Gingrich implodes because that is exactly what he is going to do.

"The ball is in Newt’s court to show she’s lying. You assume she is, out of wishful thinking. If she’s lying and he persuades us, fine. But he won’t deny what she said. The ball’s in his court."

Hi newby!

Today on his radio show, Hannity had Ed Gillespiu, Michael Barone, and the guy who does the Insider Advantage Poll in S.C. (forget his name), all on simultaneously. Among other things, they discussed the issue about Newt's ex-wife, Marianne, and her ABC interview.

I noted one very interesting comment from the guy from the Insider Advantage Poll. When it was mentioned that Marianne trashed Newt for asking her for "an open marriage" situation, he said that he goes way back with Newt (-used to work for him)- and said he was around at the time Newt and Marianne were having problems. He said to Hannity, "Just ask yourself one thing...can you picture Newt asking his wife to agree to such a thing if he didn't have any reason to think she might not go along with it? There's more to this than people know."

He was on the verge of saying more, but Hannity interrupted him saying, I'm not going to go there."

Hummmmmmm... bttt

I read that Marianne in a 1995 interview told the reporter that she would not let Newt be President if she didnt want to. She said she would come out at just the right time to “tell us about Newt...” Like she is now...

Personally, I’d go for a great governor. One who is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-oil, pro-America! One who loves to hunt and fish and owns guns, boat and motor. And must be a tea party favorite and a crowd pleasing campaign dynamo!!

You betcha!!

Drill, baby, drill!!

Newt/Sarah!! Making liberal/RINO heads explode coast to coast!

I’m not willing to go as far and endorse Gingrich, though he remains my preferred candidate of those remaining. But in any event, I hope he clubs Romney like a baby seal in South Carolina.
