Don't you know this is why people get into acting? They sit around all day fantasizing like Walter Mitty.

Kinda goofy thing to say but he has his priorities in place.

Very interesting interview with him rabidralph. I did not know he went to Church everyday and spoke so openly about his faith.

"Kinda goofy thing to say but he has his priorities in place."

I'm with you rabidralph. His statement reflects what we would all wish to have been capable of.

It reminds me of some other recent failures by our government to act upon threats or crimes against our citizens. We wish we could have protected the innocent. Having seen the data mining maps associating Muslims, mostly in New Jersey, with Al Qaeda leadership in Indonesia, and knowing that the data were analyzed in 2000, and probably before, by at least one team competing for selection by one of DIA, CIA, FBI, etc etc. Able Danger was little understood, unless you have some experience with data mining, but has since become a standarized tool in most of the world's intelligence and police agencies. I will never forget how dangerous bureaucrats, with Jaime Gorelick’s help, interfered with the exchange of critical information, and then, when the worst happened, crushed the messengers.

Mark, unfortunately, couldn't have done anything about the portable SAM (surface to air) that took out Flight 800, but the anger over abrupt termination of the lives of sixty or seventy children flying on their first trip to France, but the anger is well-placed. Israel has implemented a number of measures to protect their civilian airliners from ground-launched missiles. So could have the US. I hope we have now, but wouldn't bet on it. To be fair, if we had, it should not be publicly described.

Anger is good, but the solution must be a longer term solution. Inter-agency rivalry is probably what prevented the sharing of knowledge which should have prevented (9/11). It was a tight campaign for reelection which clearly caused Clinton to order the suppression of the truth about Flight800, but that was after the fact. One could argue about the damage to our civilian airline industry which would result from telling the truth, though there is little doubt that the FBI and CIA were used to keep the issue from damaging Clinton's reelection campaign.

To be even handed, Reagan should have had advisers who knew the potential for suicide attacks on US troops in Lebanon. After the fact, Reagan couldn't find the perpetrators and probably neither could have Clinton identified those who fired the the missiles(s). No changes were ever necessary to Boeing 747s.

We need to elect people who really understand peace through strength. Mark is young, but his anger comes from the right place. He will learn how best to channel it. Look at the people with whom he works, and the damage to his career his honesty has probably cost him. I'm sure he has paid a price. You sound like a good man Mark, and a good actor too. The two qualities are clearly not necessarily found together. Now, talking openly and honestly will help younger people understand that being patriotic is cool. They are beginning to understand the dangers being led by dusty old lefties poses. We need to teach them that Chez Guevarra was a vicious killer, and Ronald Reagan is why millions who, with Reagan's help, could leave the failed USSR were able to help enrich the whole world.

Too bad Serge Brin participated in the enslavement of tens of millions by hosting the managers of “The Arab Spring”, now more properly described as the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood. Mark is on the right track.

I saw that interview on TV the other night - pretty amazing.

“Yeah, so the producers wanted to know if I wanted to hang around the police station and do some ride-alongs so I knew what real cops were like. Nah - believe me, I know what real cops are like!”

Mark Wahlberg is the opposite of a Hollywood lefty. But he’s full of himself and said something dumb here. He thinks he’s a tuff guy. If he was on Flight 93 he would have been fighting the Muzzies with`the “Let’s Roll” crew
