Gingrich is absolutely right. Islam is a theocratic system where the religious law and the secular law are one and the same, and this conflicts with US law.
There is no other religion in the US like that (except Mormonism, but they backed off on the theocratic aspect in order for Utah to be part of the US).
A Muslim can either chose to abide by US law, or he can get a job in a mosque.
The largest Muslim civil liberties group in the United States on Wednesday condemned Newt Gingrich for saying he would only hire Muslims to his administration if they renounced the use of Islam’s Shariah law as a tool for U.S. government.

I mean, if CAIR hates you, you can’t be all bad, right?
Unfortunately, I do not think that not hiring someone based on their religious beliefs is constitutional. But I like his spunk.
