It wouldn’t matter. Any “Conservative” that would allow themself to be added to his ticket in attempting to provide him would cover would be rightly instantly reviled.

If Mitt Romney is the nominee (ugh!), he’d better get himself a first-class running mate whom conservatives admire and trust. Even that wouldn't be enough to get me to vote for him.
I can't bank on something happening to Mitt and the VP is just a figurehead until then.
Even if his abortion stance wasn't an issue, I'd have a real problem voting for someone whose such a pathological liar.
