The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 22% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -19

22% strongly support? Well, if the U.S. population is about 13%, we must have 9% of the non-black voters who are on the public dole, then.

Two years ago, the strong support seemed to bottom out at 27%...with no sign of going lower.

Its encouraging to me to see that it now hovers in 22% territory....all the media cheerleading we have seen, and he still creeps lower.

His absolute SA floor, over the summer and fall, was 19%.
I believe there was only one “gouge” down to 18%.

So, a 21-22% SA floor is actually an increase since the first of the year.

Oh, I understand there are temporary bumps up and down....I’m just excited that his numbers bump around in a completely different neighborhood than they did a year ago. Graphically, the center of mass of his strong approve for 2010 hovers above the 25% line...but for the last nine months of 2011, and into this year, the center of mass hovers well below the 25% line.

I actually didn’t think it was possible for him to go lower than 27%. Its a number which shows up in other polls - 27% of people think 9-11 was an inside job, 26-27% of Americans believe socialism is a superior system, etc. In other words, even some of the crackpot, devoted leftists have lost enthusiasm for him.

Will they still vote for him? Yes.

Will they donate time to work the phones for his campaign, or buy their $3 raffle ticket to have dinner with him? I’m starting to be hopeful that they won’t.
