Newt has great command of any situation he finds himself in. Last night he knew going into the debate he had to produce a knockout punch. Watch Newt as Juan starts the question and observe how calmly he is setting up the attack in his mind. When he opens up, it is like a water fall sweeping away the apposing view. I like this tiger to the neck approach, but others seem to feel it is too harsh and he will again be made out by the left as the mean, old, evil guy they tarred him with as Speaker of the House.

Once Newt discarded the idea of trusting the media (to report the truth), I think he started to do better. The Pelosi incident, the Ryan comments, global warming nonsense were all designed to get some love from the media. It failed.
Same has to go for whomever the nominee is. The media is not you friend. Don’t bother trying to sugarcoat how you feel because they’ll report what they want anyway.
