may well be US government disinformation sources in order to throw Iranian mud at Israel. Or it may not. This sort of thing should not be taken as any more reliable than speculation by people who just watch the news. It is certainly possible but not because "unnamed Western intelligence sources" say it is. Too much politics and misdirection involved at all levels.

This is just another instance of where TIME tells the goobers that "The Joooos did it" ~ but this is also the age of the internet, so responsible, and equally authoritative respondents can say "Hey, what proof is there that TIME's editorial board isn't behind all this"?

Frankly after conducting a program of professionally driven anti-semitism for 60 years you'd think by now that eventually folks would quit automatically believing TIME in this stuff.

Has no one suggested that the the marjority of Persians, the ones who hate the Islamic regime, might not want scientists working toward an attack, inevitable if Iran were to test a nuclear device, could have a working underground network? They know they could have good lives and free access to the West, with woman's rights to education and the no requirement for the Hijab. They aren't lonely young men anticpating relief from the 72 virgins awaiting their sacrifice. Under the Shah they, men and women, would come here to school and return to share in and help build a modern Iran. We know Obama won't lift a hand to help them.
