CARSON CITY The Nevada Supreme Court has rejected the appeal of Las Vegas killer Clayton L. Wrencher, who complained his rights were violated when he was warned not to cry or show remorse during his trial.
Wrencher was admonished by District Court Judge Michelle Leavitt not to shed tears or display emotion, and he maintains that prejudiced him before the jury.
The court said Wrencher did not object at trial but raised the issue later.

How do you stop someone from crying?...other than the obvious of course.
I am willing to bet his lawyer told him to comply and that they would use this as a basis for an appeal.
IT’S MY PARTY
Lesley Gore
Nobody knows where my Johnny has gone
Judy left the same time
Why was he holding her hand
When he’s supposed to be mine
It’s my party, and I’ll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you
Playin’ my records, keep dancin’ all night
Leave me alone for a while
‘Till Johnny’s dancin’ with me
I’ve got no reason to smile
It’s my party, and I’ll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you
——— LEAD BREAK ———
Judy and Johnny just walked through the door
Like a queen with her king
Oh what a birthday surprise
Judy’s wearin’ his ring
It’s my party, and I’ll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you
I’m so sorry . . . . . . . That I got caught.
“Wrencher did not object at trial “
Oops!
Hey, crying qualifies him candidate for a pardon from Barbour.
how on earth could a judge ever instruct a defendant on how to act???If I’m on trial for murder, I’ll act just as I, and my attorney, wish....what if the judge told him he must giggle and smirk???
Too many chicks on the bench, at the defense and prosecution tables, on the jury and as spectators.
You use laughing gas on them.
Is that from ‘Snapped’?
