Tebow is doing for Pro Football what Michael Jackson did to pop music with his Off the Wall album.

Perhaps not the most fortunate analogy, but I take your point.

Maybe a better analogy would be what Brian Setzer did for Swing Music in the late 90s.

Yeah, I’m with you on that. I was in stereo sales when Jackson basically “brought pop back to life”. I remember reviewers saying they knew pop was in trouble when the grammy winning song was elevator music by Christopher Cross called “Sailing”, and how Jackson saved the whole industry from impending mundaneness.
