SPARTANBURG, SC -- Texas Gov. Rick Perry said Sunday that he's not giving up on the race for the Republican presidential nomination, comparing himself to the fighters who rode back into the Alamo knowing there would be no reinforcements coming.

In an interview tonight he was asked why his poll numbers in SC are still so low.
He should have answered that we’re now polling on poll numbers. NH followed IA until that got shaken up now SC is following NH.
These polls are going to be what defeats us. Newt’s a perfect example of how manipulated they are. Now I think they’re pushing the “Santorum’s losing momentum” polls. Sad what we’ve come to.

Here in SC it ain’t the Alamo it’s Fort Sumter and we won that one Guv.
(Course Texas lost the Alamo but won the war—we won Fort Sumter but lost the war)

He needs a San Jacinto, not an Alamo. It will probably be more like Goliad. He'll get wiped out, but 150 years from now hardly anyone will remember it.
