How does the BSA make money recycling Christmas trees?Odds are, they shred them and sell the mulch. I know of some troops that do that.

I know when we had a real Christmas tree, we gave the Boy Scouts anywere from a $20-$50 donation when they came to take our tree. Our entire neighborhood did the same.I imagine that adds up to a tidy sum.
Someone upthread mentioned they also sell the mulch.
