DEBKKA prints a lot of rumors and calls it news. If we are putting 9000 US troops there, they are in the bullseye of the Iranian A-bomb and would be in great danger. If we were really wanting to intimidate Iran, US troops in Israel are just too far away to deploy to Iran. I’d use fleet Marines stationed on ships or do the deployment in a friendly Gulf state. Obama is unlikely to do anything to provoke Iran as he has ignored every bad thing Iran has done for the past 2+ years.
