My husband will be very sad if actual books go away. He was given a Kindle and he re gifted it to someone else. He likes a book in his hand, to turn pages and dog ear the page when he puts it down.

My husband and I feel the same way. He reads at least 3 books a week and wants no part of a Kindle or Nook.

I had to go to the other room real quick to make sure my wife wasn't posting under a new name.

My feelings are EXACTLY the same. I have to stare at a computer screen a large portion of the day. I'll be dammed if I'll stare at the blasted thing to engage in one of my favorite pleasures - reading. The sooner these stupid electronic books 15 minutes of fame is up and they are all in the landfill, the better!

I have to agree (though I use bookmarks!). Call it sentimental, old-fashioned, sad, whatever...but I like the aesthetics of physical books. Artwork, layout, imformative book flap. And there are times when I just get tired of staring at a screen all day, be it a desktop computer for work, a cell phone for email and other conversing (said being tired doesn't apply to FR, naturally), and then television sometimes.

A Kindle isn't as inviting as a book sitting on a shelf. But I can see the way things are going...

I am a real bookworm, pack a book or two with me everywhere I go...people keep telling me I need a Kindle but I am like your husband, I want a real book.
