It’s certainly a viable plan and appears to be working.

Where is the next Ronald Reagan when we need him? It feels like 1980 without Ronald Reagan...sigh

The more I hear from Newt, the more I am coming to think that he is the closest thing we are going to get to Reagan.

I was very impressed by the 15 minute "Why is Newt so Angry?" video.

I think that Newton is the only one at this point who:

A) Gets that this election is really about restoring the Constitution and core American values of freedom and limited government;

B) Can clearly and passionately articulate the conservative message in plain language;

C) Has a track record of actually engineering significant advances of the conservative agenda;

D) Is not shy about strongly pushing back against the lies and liberal propaganda of the Obama machine and the liberal media.

E) Is not afraid to speak bluntly about what a disaster Obama has been, and is not afraid to publicly call him out as a radical leftist grossly out of step with core American values, who has seriously damaged our economic viability and our security in the world.

F) Has astonishingly broad knowledge about a wide variety of issues that the next president will have to deal with, and the real experience to understand and drive the political machine in the right direction.

Is he perfect? No. Does he sometimes say injudicious things? Yes. But he strikes me as being open to reason, and has the political vision and experience to get this country headed in the right direction.

And notwithstanding his unfortunate flirtation with Nancy Pelosi on the couch, I don't believe for one minute that at this point Newt has any interest in pushing cap & trade or allowing the EPA to control carbon output in the name of stopping global warming.
