I actually don’t know Santorum’s stand on Capital Punishment. I see blurbs from 2005 about his rethinking it, but nothing current.

What does capital punishment have to do with the Presidency?Capital punishment is rarely a federal issue and these are handled by SCOTUS.

since I think the non Romney candidate that wins in SC will be the nominee .. that guy

doesn’t change my opinion of Santorum.. he’s not going to come into Washington DC and shake up the world.. you won’t see fundamental reform or change at any level including a massive reduction in the national debt and the size of government.. he is not Tea Party material sorry...

you’ll have a nice milquetoast big government Conservative guy who doesn’t cheat on his wife and it’s going to be the same ole same ole.. Bush 3

Wow, this is a shock since Rick (Rev.) Santorhummm would make an excellent priest... well, except for all those kids.

Here is an actual Rick Santorum quote: “One of the things I will talk about, that no president has talked about before, is I think the dangers of contraception in this country.” And also, “Many of the Christian faith have said, well, that’s okay, contraception is okay. It’s not okay. It’s a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be.”
These comments were not dug up from some bygone moment of ideological purity, before dreams of a presidential campaign. He said it in October, to a blogger at CaffeinatedThoughts.com (they met at Des Moines’ Baby Boomers Cafe).
It’s pretty basic: Rick Santorum is coming for your contraception. Any and all of it. And while he may not be alone in his opposition to non-procreative sex, he is certainly the most honest about it — as he himself acknowledged in the interview

What does capital punishment have to do with the Presidency?

I see that a Religious Organization, Catholic Vote.Org has endorsed a Pro Life Catholic for President, over say, a Pro life Methodist, who supports State Rights, and Capital Punishment.

Juat as I would be interested in whether a candidate for the Presidency is a strict Vegan, or eats meat, I guess you might say that I look for clues as to how their background, beliefs, lifestyle, etc fits into my worldview.

If any of the current candidates had grown up in a traveling carnival..it might not have anything to do with the Presidency, but I'd want to consider how growing up in a Sub Culture of the norm..might affect their worldview.

So, Now that I've explained it to you, is it okay with you, for me to ask?

Well, we have

a) Obama - Not Acceptable

b) Romney - Not Acceptable

c) Ron Paul Not Acceptable

d) Perry - Collapsing

e) Bachmann - Gone

f) Cain - Gone

g) Santorum - Rising

h) Gingrich - ?

So, you tell me, out of the above, who do conservatives support?

they will support the candidate that survives the SC primary with momentum going into Florida.. IMO it will be either Gingrich or Santorum

I am not a Santorum (or Gingrich, or Romney) supporter, but your argument is silly.

He is not proposing outlawing contraception...he’s just pointing out that it is immoral.

There are plenty of things to criticize him for, but this is not one of them.
