Santorum lost his own state by 18 points That says a lot right there. Santorum is a very weak candidate. He won't appeal to independents. He his too bland, too dull. No comparison to Reagan in that department.
So what are our options? I guess it's go with Newt.

What irritated me with Santorum in the debates was that he would get very defensive at times. When he did, he also sounded shrill and whiney when trying to make his points.
If he does get any more momentum/traction in the near future, he absolutely must employ a professional speaking coach.

I don't care what Independents are up to. They are off on their own ~ outside of politics.
If they want a say in selecting candidates they have to get inside one of the major parties and get involved.
