I disagree with this in degree.
You know who took Gingrich out? Michelle Bachmann did, at the final debate in Iowa, Dec. 16th. When she nailed him on his Freddie Mac ties and all he did was stammer around and sputter that "I did not . . . have lobbying relations with . . . that Liberal pet rock . . . Freddie Mac."
Freddie Mac was always going to bite Gingrich on the butt and Bachmann made sure it did.
THAT was the beginning of the possible end for Gingrich. Romney supporters did not start piling on until Gingrich's numbers had already started plummeting.
Exactly, and it’s not like the “negative” ads told any lies, they just reiterated Newt’s record. Wrong Paul put out ads on Gingrich, as well as the pro-Romney PAC. Newt wants everyone to forget his checkered past.
Also, to add ‘hypocrisy’ to his resume, he has vowed to come against Romney with even more venom, I.E., negative campaigning. Gingrich is not a novice to politics, but he is poutingly pretending to be shocked — shocked I tell you -— at how it is done in the big leagues.
Really.
Methinks Newt needs to put facts behind his claim that the ads were false.
I don’t know what his specific complaints are but I do know that the ad I saw that reminded of his ethics fine of 300K and his making the commercial w/ Pelosi rang true.
There’s a real possibility that Newt destroyed his viability as a presidential candidate with his own actions and now wants to shoot the messenger.
