Santorum receives big endorsement from the Duggars
Daily Caller ^ | January 2nd | Alexis Levinson

“This year’s Presidential race outcome will set the course of America for the next several years!” said Michelle Duggar in a statement. “Santorum is a pro-life, Christian conservative with the family values and common sense business perspective that we need to get our nation back on track, to create jobs and to stand for what is right! Rick has a proven track record as a leader in the US Senate he fought to end partial birth abortion, he has stood for defining marriage as between a man and a woman.”

Duggar said that the family also appreciated Santorum’s support for lower taxes and increased oil drilling in Alaska.

As a former Cain supporter, I have been leaning towards Santorum in recent days.

I think the NH primary is a week from today. At this point, I will be voting for Santorum.

I like Santorum, but I don't think he is ready to go toe to toe with Obama, even though he is a great conservative, he does not seem like he could really "put down" Obama in a debate.

With the remaining candidates I sure would like to see Gingrich get the nomination and select Santorum as his VP for the ticket. I am soooo tired of the media/Dems/good old boys of the GOP pushing for Romney. And I fear that his attitude reflects some unknown promise that has been made to him by the powers that be in DC. He acts as though he feels this is all just a "show" and he has it in the bag. There has to be a reason for that attitude. It makes me very, very disappointed.

Romney might be a better president than Obama (so would a monkey) but he won't get the chance-- mainly because he will fail in debates with Zero. I just don't see him outsmarting the ridicule and quips from that flip, arrogant resident we have in the WH. Gingrich would whoop Obama in the debates...and that is where he can score and where America will see his worth. If Romney gets the nomination, the debates will be his failing, and the country will lose.

My wife and I had a couple over for a New Year’s Eve dinner we’ve been friends with for years. The couple are both southerners, strong fiscal/social conservatives, and steadfastedly evangelical.

Both of them point blank said they would never vote for Newt Gingrich even though they detest Obama. She considers it a matter of principle. It is because of his three marriages (cheating on his wife). I tried making the lesser of the two evils argument and it was not pursuasive.

They are both hoping that Santorum does well and are interested in hearing more about him.

From my viewpoint there really isn't any significant difference between Gingrich and Romney. I loath them both for about the same reasons. I couldn't care less about Gingrich's cheating on his wife (other than to show what sort of person he is), but his constant embracing of liberal ideas does not make him a good choice from a conservative viewpoint.

I don’t care what the Duggars do or say. Their opinion doesn’t hold any more weight than Lady Gaga’s or Sean Penn’s. At least Lady Gaga and Penn are more honest in that they are selling the product that is themselves. They don’t play it off as anything other than Hollywood.
