So Sarah likes Newt just a little bit better than Perry?

Still as great an idea it was, as it was yesterday.
Hope Newt does this.
What would be really helpful would be if Palin would endorse him, so Romney’s dopes won’t steal this thing.

Romney already saw Gingrich's short-term governor with a personality cult, and raised him one who weighs twice as much.

it may be that Newt is just throwing this out to attract Sarah supporters; my though is that Sarah has already declined running for POTUS, so why would she ever accept to play 2nd fiddle to Newt, when the VP job entails almost as much disruption to family life as the number one spot.
Meanwhile, CBS is posting this story because they think that Sarah has enough baggage to add to Newt's to insure that Romney or Ron Paul will win the nomination. CBS is ever-present in their quest to protect their boy Barry.
Either way, I don't see it happening, besides the earlier stories were that Newt would "consider" Palin, among others, for the VP slot...so now the liberal loonies are going to spin it to their advantage.

Newt has his faults but this would make a great ticket.

Choosing Sarah as VP would be a brilliant move by Newt. I hope he really is considering her.

Noot is grasping at straws.
If Palin wanted in, Noot wouldn’t even be in anyone’s discussion.

I agree, this is BS. Of course Newt would not rule out considering Sarah. Why should he? But she's out of the race for this year and everyone knows it, including Newt. Just more media instigation stirring up static.

I doubt Palin has any interest in being #2.
Literally, been there, done that.
If she were interested, she would have run for the #1 stop.
As another FReeper posted recently, she is too busy making money to consider being the #2 on anyone’s ticket.

Newt was ASKED by a caller and he answered, he did not bring the issue up himself, and he has been defending Sarah from the beginning.

Foolishness.
Sarah was the one with the solutions, and Noot was the author of many of the problems.
Putting Sarah at VP with Noot would be like putting the Mona Lisa below the Sunday Comics.

Sarah Palin declined to run this time for one reason only: She is a polarizing figure even within the Republican Party. Her numbers plateaued far below Romney with greater name recognition. She saw this, and realized that she needs to add to her resume. Seasoning within an upcoming Republican admistration would make her a formidable candidate. In the mean time, she is making she gets free publicity and big buck from FOX for staying out of politics, but look for her to endorse the strongest not-Romney/not-Paul candidate (if there still is one) in late spring.

Actually, her income has dropped precipitously since stepping back. Specialty TV doesn’t find her so lucrative now.

Sarah was the one with the solutions, and Noot was the author of many of the problems. I'm curious about what you mean by that.

Propaganda alert:
Gingrich did not “throw this out”.
Gingrich was specifically asked about it by a caller.
Please stick to facts.
Thank you.
To: presidio9
I don’t think Sarah will be choosing Newt to be her VP.
