Occupy activists target caucuses

Already they have interrupted Michele Bachmann and drawn a withering putdown from Newt Gingrich as “all noise, no thought.”

Now, to the dismay of Iowa Republicans, Occupy activists in Des Moines are vowing to expand their protests as Republican presidential hopefuls converge on the state that speaks first in the race for the party’s presidential nomination.

“The 99 percent have woken up, and we’re not going to take it anymore,” Occupy activist Stephen Toothman of Des Moines said as an advance guard met Tuesday to decide which candidates to target in the coming week.

Hundreds of Occupy activists from at least 10 states were expected to participate in a “People’s Caucus” near the Capitol to plot activities between now and the Jan. 3 caucuses.

The activists are promising to interrupt candidates at events and camp out at their Iowa campaign offices. They say they want to change the political dialogue, but critics fear their tactics could tarnish Iowa’s reputation for civil political discourse ahead of the contest. Activists say mass arrests are possible.

Disrupting the electoral process... IMO, the ground truth as to why OWS was formed in the first place. Mob action designed to intimidate the opposition.

It’s cold in Iowa in January. A few of the occupiers might find this out when they try and get into the caucuses.

If those maggot-infested commie wannabes showed up to make trouble in my county...

...we have high percentages of gun ownership, a VERY conservative outlook and lots of water and open land.

Suffice to say.. it`d be a “grave” error.

“Occupy activist Stephen Toothman of Des Moines said as an advance guard met Tuesday to decide which candidates to target in the coming week.”

An ‘advance guard’? Kind of odd they would use such a military type word. I thought people weren't allowed to use the word TARGET.

“Occupy activists, who came from as far away as New York and Seattle, said the caucuses were largely meaningless because the parties and candidates were overly influenced by wealthy, special interests that led them to ignore key issues.”

Well, it's not up to terrorists and anarchists to decide what is and what is not meaningless. Why don't these people take their issues to the WH, congress and senate? They are the ones in position right now to do something about key issues these people claim they are concerned with. The people they are terrorizing right now don't have any power. p>

“Occupy Des Moines organizer Jess Mazour, 24, said protesters wanted candidates to address issues ranging from campaign finance reform to college debt to the home foreclosure crisis.”

Key word here, dumbutt, is CANDIDATES. Shouldn't you take your group of terrorists over to the WH and protest ‘the man’ in it about this?

If “activists” disrupt voting they should be shot.
Instead Holders justice dept will give them a pass.
Holder is a criminal as is his boss.

Now we're talkin' "Darwin Award" stuff here.

I don't think Iowans will take too kindly to this kind of usurping of their democratic, constitutional rights by outsiders...especially Iowans who might honorably have served overseas for the flag and in uniform, or been wounded over there to guarantee such as these rights.

This is getting into Fred Phelps' territory.

The “Occupy Movement”

Alinsky trained Soros commissars assigned to agitate shiftless morons in order to divert attention from a failed socialist president.

I believe that you are about 40 years too late.

Back them people were God fearing, red-blooded, law abiding and legal Americans with REAL rights to protect both the laws of this country and their individual rights to take care of things such as the OWS criminals and thugs.

We have slowly gone down in the quicksand of Socialism and have been stripped of our rights to protect ourselves, our laws and our freedoms over the past years until we are now to the point of serfdom.

Be aware, this can and probably will start at the voting precinct/township/parish conventions in your immediate political boundaries...

In this election cycle, with the party primaries paving the way to the state and national conventions, those who would seek to disrupt, corrupt or otherwise squeue the results of this process will do so at the very beginning...

Those who have been active in the past in this process should be very skeptical and cautious of those folks coming in for those caucuses/conventions and really qualify and vet those who you have never seen before that want to participate...

I know that sounds bad, but in the last election cycle, the Ron Paul-bots succeeded in really scrogging the works all the way up to state convention with their nonsense...

So if they can do it, these OWS scumbags will definitely try to take a page out of that book and try to look really legit in the process...How effective they are in doing what they want to do is up to those of us who have been doing the convention process for a while...

I say zero tolerance for this activity, and even if there are those in the legitimate (tenured) ranks of delegates in your particular political subdivision who may object to this zero tolerance, they need to be educated on the reality of our situation here...

We need to go as strong into this next election cycle with one goal...

The utter defeat of as many democrat liberal progressives as possible this next year...Any candidate running for office that does not utilize the tools given to them by these conventions needs to understand that these state platforms are there for their use, to guide them in their positions on issues, and what we expect them to do while in office...And if they refuse to do so...I’d show them the door...

A lot of us have been grassrooting this stuff for many years, and if those elected to office (and seeking office)continue to go another way, than what has been laid out for them to do by the people working hard to restore and protect the basic foundations that this country was founded upon...

I would believe it is time for many of them to be taught a new word...

It’s called, “unemployment”...

And we need to start by being very aware of folks showing up out of the blue to participate in this process...

Again, I know that sounds bad, but its probably not going to be too hard to spot the OWS’ers right out of the starting blocks...

What you do with them, I suppose is up to the Chairman of each of those levels of the convention process, and the body...

Now is not the time to get caught up in the nonsense that could be brought into this process by these communists...We need to quell this in the beginning, before it gets a foot hold in the next election cycle...

All it takes is a little more political courage to take care of this now, before it gets started...

Just my opinion...

Most of them likely won't pass the "sniff test"; as in they haven't bathed in over a week.

Outside the Lame Street Media, is there anyone with an IQ over room temperature that does not realize that these OWS participants are dedicated leftists? After all they are not in front of Jon Corzine’s luxury apartment are they? Nor are they in front of the White House protesting the crony capitalism money that Obama got from Wall Street and big business.

Just another demonstration of our right-eye blinkered media.

One punch in the kisser would end this very quickly.

Communists are nothing but bullies. Their inherent inferiority complex and their narcissistic ways force them to do these types of things so they could feel in control.

The Soviets tried this with Reagan. Reagan smacked them on the snout with a rolled up newspaper and they went whimpering back under the porch.

Same thing happened in Egypt with the female reporter. She stuck her snout into something and tried to provoke the crowd. They turned on her and unfortunately she was abused in a way which should have caused our government to intervene.

Needless to say, the media never went back there.

That’s how you beat back the commies. You remove one from the pack, beat the snot out of it and send it back with a warning that next time you will actually remove some teeth.

It will be over in a day.

Unfortunately the occupiers will try to cause trouble in the main part of Des Moines where the media coverage is heavier and the Republicans are more liberal. If they come to Southern Iowa they will get the ARSE kicked.
