Because Rick can’t win in his own state. Sorry but true. He needs to go home and win there again first. He is a very weak candidate on many levels. I am easily excitable for conservatives, but he doesn’t do anything for me. Try again.

Rick's a good guy, but the biggest albatross around his neck is that he couldn't even crack 40% in his 2006 reelection bid against who is arguably the dumbest male member of the U.S. Senate.

That being said, he is probably the best conservative alternative still standing and I hope he does well in Iowa.

Santorum didn't just lose last time around, he got blown out in an epic fail landslide defeat. You can't lose your last statewide election by 18 points and then run for President and expect to do well. Santorum is a good man and right on most of the issues, but there are just too many doubts about his electability until he goes back home and wins an election or two to clear the stink away from that 2006 defeat.

Can’t win? His record in PA elections is 4-1.

The one loss came in a Dem. year to the son of a political legend in the state. Two of the wins were against Dem. incumbents. All of the wins came in a blue state.

I don’t think he has run a particularly good campaign. Sure he has put in enormous effort in IA, but his message has not been in tune with the times. He talks way too little about how to fix the economy and way too much about his life and time in Congress.

I think people are desperate to hear solutions for the present and future, not rehash the past so much.

"Because Rick can’t win in his own state."

Unlike Newt, who's having trouble even getting on the ballot in his own state...

David, you should find out why first. First of all the district shifted left Democrat and the unions pumped in money. Go look at the videos where he explains that.

He is far from being weak, but tell me where you think he is weak?

Who is your candidate?
