It’s long past time for Senator Lugar to go, IMHO. The guy was first elected to the Senate in 1976. He’s still there in 2011. You cannot be part of the Beltway for that long without, well, becoming part of the Beltway. Doesn’t matter who you are or what your politics are, the D.C. swamp will claim anyone after nearly 40 years.
Lugar will never come home.
