The ‘yes’ responses will be pro-Newt.
The ‘no’ responses are pro-Mitt.

This poll will be a good test of support.

Not looking good for Mutt.

84% wants this thing to go 10 rounds and the spread definitely Favors Newt.

Weird, a lizard taking on a snake....

Have got to enter an email address to participate in this poll. I get enough crap in my email box already so let me say, “YES” I’d like to see a one-on-one debate.

Gingrich v. Mitt head to head? Yeah, that would be a good one! (Asks for email and zipcode. Use "whatever@yopmail.com" and pick a zip out of the phonebook if you don't want to use a real one) 84% yes so far.

I voted no.
There ain't been a vote cast yet and the GOP establishment is setting Romney up for the nomination. Romney is a lying liberal and Newt can't get his foot out of his mouth. I'm agin’ both and I plan on voting for Santorum on Jan 21st if he can hold on til then.
Natch I'll vote for anybody against Obama but I want conservatives to pick the nominee not the RINO leadership.
Let two candidates duke it out but let all of them pair up and not just the patsy Newt and Mendacity Mitt.

Yes.

As has been pointed out before, the strength of Ronald Reagan was his almost lifelong study of the Founders' ideas and the ancient books from which they derived them. Such historical study and understanding enabled him to drill down to the principle underlying a certain political issue, and to come up with what seemed to be quick answers in a debate setting.

Quoting Ronald Reagan himself comes easy to most Republican candidates. Few, however, can quote from the 85 Federalist essay explanations of the Constitution's limitations on government, or from the words of the Founders.

To this point, Romney shows no such prior study or understanding, and that would require more than a cursory overview in preparation for a debate.

It's time for citizens to receive a lesson from a history professor, and that, alone, might be a worthwhile endeavour.

Romney will never agree to debate Newt one on one. Neither will Obama.

Romney's ineligibility, his bad performance as Gov.,
and his backstabbing remain IGNORED.

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

Poor sport spoiler Romney doing what he does best:

Novak: "Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign"

Said Novak: "The rumors were traced in part to Mitt Romney's campaign,
trying to stir up strife between McCain and Thompson
."

"Despite outspending his rivals by huge margins throughout the primaries,
(Mitt Romney, Carpetbagger UT,CA,MA,NH,Mexico) lost Iowa, South Carolina, Florida and California.
The only primaries he won were in Michigan, where Dad was governor; LDS states;
and a few states on Super Tuesday in which his California-obsessed rivals
couldn't spare the cash to advertise.
Only John Connolly in 1968 had a worse cash-to-delegates ratio.
And John McCain rightly did not like Romney's tactics during the primaries.
(W)hen (Romney's early leads) started slipping away, he resorted to unfair,
distorted, scorched-earth negative ads, betting that his opponents couldn't
afford to spend enough for the truth to catch up to his charges."

Just a thought in my own opinion: The elites will see Newt hand Willard’s head to him on a platter in a head to head debate. They may decide to pull Willard completely out of the debate circuit. That will spell Willard’s demise because if you don’t debate, you are no longer relevant.

Go Newt!

Willard would never go head to head with someone that can think..
He spent a career tricking democrats into voting for him..
Newt is trickyier than Willard.. and he knows it..
