Your heroes Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Ron Paul have been wrong about just about everything they have ever said. Not just wrong, dangerously stupid and wrong.
They both blame all the problems in the world on the American people and say that Americans are greedy and warlike etc. and that the rest of the world is good and virtuous.
They both viciously attacked Ronald Reagan when he was implementing the policies that won the cold war and advocated appeasement, moral cowardice and supporting the most brutal dictatorships in the world.
They both admire Iran's anti-American policies and Iran's providing IED’s to maim and kill Americans. They both promote racial hatred and racial animosity.
You admire Ron Paul and Rev Jeremiah Wright. You think Iran is good and America is bad. You think the American people are to blame for the 9/11 attacks. You think Ronald Reagan was wrong in his policies. You want to promote racial violence and racial ill will.
You are the kind of person who votes for Ron Paul.
Never said EVERYTHING that Wright and Paul said is correct, but their argument that if the US goes out and get entangle in overseas affairs, there is going to be blowback is not without some merit. If the US did not act on behalf of the British overthrew a democratic elected gov and backed the authoritarian Shah would the Iranian people go down the anti US road?????? If a new Israeli homeland was carved out of Germany and not Arab territory, would there be a strong anti US sentiment in the Arab world?? People don’t just start hating you for no reason. There is historical background one must not isolate from the past and draw the wrong conclusions!! IMHO some US actions make sense, some do not. Here is the irony, Saudi Arabia after WW2 wanted US to replace bothersome Britain as her new superpower protector. The only possible source of conflict with the Arab world is US modernity clashes with Islamic fundamentalism and Soviet sponsor Arab nations vs Saudi Arabia. That will be totally different from a unified Islamic world against US backing a Jewish homeland on Arab land.
After the end of the Cold War the US had an opportunity to rest and rebuild. Instead our neocons were looking for a crusade with the US newly status as hyper superpower. If 9/11 did not happen, the US DoD was on the road to make Communist China the new superpower rival. After going into Afghanistan we decided to overthrow Iraq and hope it would be the new democratic nation that will create a democratic force to overthrow the Arab gov and replace it with democratic ones. Problem is the US was already a hollowed financial country with debts as far as the eye can see till September 2008 when it finally imploded. And despite that we still have freepers who want to go out and fight more enemies and write more IOU’s for the US Treasury for wars and nation building we cannot afford. Recently the DoD (ironically), the only Fed Department recognized our national debt has become a threat to national security and are willing to participate in Fed budget cuts. Other agencies have not even reached this level of acknowledgement. Too many neocons still want to thump chest and threaten enemies with an empty Treasury.
